Neopets Neopian Battlefield Legends is a nice game located in Meridell that is similar to Biscuit Brigade. Neopets Neopian Battlefield Legends is a strategy game that will help you boost up your skills.
Gameplay
First of all, you will want to choose a map and a campaign in order to proceed, along with what side you would like to play on. You will then be able to select the towers that you will be using during the game.
After that you will be drove to a field where you will be awarded with some coins that you will have to spend to purchase things that will suit your needs. You will then be able to put your mouse cursor on a tower so that you are able to see what it does and you can proceed to use it (after knowing its price). There will be also a black circle that will be around it. This will tell you the range the said tower can go to. Not only that, but there will be arrows of the orange color that will tell you the direction your enemy is taking. In order words, if he is going to the left side of the screen or to the right side of the screen. There will be yellow squares that will tell you the current path your enemy will take to go to the end. You will not be able to block your enemies path, whether because it will tell you that X block can not be placed there, or because it will automatically change. Your enemy will always have a path and there is nothing you will be able to do about it.
On the top of the screen, on the absolute left there will be gold that will indicate the number of coins you have. After that, there is the number of waves. It is x wave on 20 and once you finish the 20th one, the game will be won. Then there’s your score and lastly, on the right side of the top screen the number in percentage of your life. Once this falls to zero, you will lose the current game.
From there you will be able to proceed andto click on the circle of the blue color that is located on the bottom right of the screen. There you will be able to notice that there is a button with a total of two arrows that is located after it. This one will make the game faster if you have the skills. For newer players or if it is the first time you play Neopets Neopian Battlefield Legends, then it is recommended that you don’t click it for now. You will see that the foes will then start coming all the way from their side and there will be towers that will start opening fire at them in order to shoot and kill them. The towers have a range, and you are able to upgrade it in the game. Whenever you kill a foe, you will be awarded with some extra coins that can be used to make other builds, etc. Make sure that your opponent is not able to reach the end of his path because otherwise a life will be deducted from your total count and it will affect your final score. For that reason, make sure that no enemy is able to reach his final destination.
If you need money, you will be able to sell your tower for a little bit of money. If you’re looking to upgrade it or to use the special ability that it is able to provide, you will be able to spend the coins for it after clicking on it to see the options that are offered to you. There is a pause button at the bottom of the screen that can be used in order to pause the game at any given time.
There will be Neocash items that can be used on this game if you purchase them. In order to do so, you will have to go to the NC Mall from where you will be able to purchase them, and once you do they will not go directly to your inventory. They will instead go directly to the game and from there they will show up in the game as an option for you to use them. The NC maps will stay in the game forever, which means that they will never expire. However, if you purchase towers, note that they will expire, if you don’t use them, after a total of 30 days (from the time when you decide to purchase them). Once they expire, you will not be able to use them anymore and they will vanish completely from the game. However, if you want more of them you will always have the opportunity to purchase more. The advantage that is receive by the NC towers is very slim, which means that they are not really important to have.
Know your Enemies
The number of the enemies that will be on the game depends mostly on what you choose, more precisely the difficulty of the map. That means the more difficult the map is, the more tough your enemies will be. They will be going into a straight line, or in a horizontal line and the attackers that will start attacking the towers will not move until these towers are completely demolished. Don’t forget to resell a tower before it vanishes so that you can free up a square and earn coins from it. You will not be able to battle against a boss if you’re on the easier difficulties. For that, you will have to play on the hard map in order to do so. Below is a list of monsters that will be mentioned from the easiest ones to kill to the hardest to help you get a better idea of the game and from there you will be able to place your strategy depending of what has been told.
When you are playing for Meridell, the first enemy is the Drackonack, which is relatively easy to kill. After that comes the Darigan Elemental and then the Skeith Guard. Note that the Darigan Elemental will be quick in the game so you will have to get rid of him quickly. Next comes the Draik Skeleton and the Eyrie Guard which can be relatively easy to kill. Things are harder when there are Darigan Scorchios, because they will be harder to beat. The War Machine and the Morguss are always tough opponents so you will have to be careful when setting up your strategy to eradicate them. They are the pre boss monsters and they will be able to prepare you for them. Lastly, there is Blugthak and Lord Kass which are the bosses of the game. Usually Lord Kass will be harder to beat than the other boss.
When you are playing for Darigan, the opponents will be Meridellians. The Peasant Militia is the first opponent that you will have to defeat and he will be the easiest of all of them. Then comes the Quiggle runner, the Skeith Defender and the Draik Sentinel that will cause you some trouble. As for the flying units, there are the Quiggle Scout and the Draik Soldier that will be relatively hard to kill. The two pre boss monsters that will prepare you for the final wave are the Giant Tortum and Danner. You will then have to battle against the bosses to win the game. The first one is the Castle Defender and the second one, which is the hardest character of all what has been previously said, is Jeran himself.
Towers
There will be towers that will not always have the same effect and they will not always cost the same thing depending of what they will do.
The first one is the Wooden Tower which can be bought for 50 coins. If you would like to upgrade it, a total of 30 coins will be required. This tower is the basic one and it is very normal and simple.
The second tower is the Rapid-Fire Tower which will fire two times faster than the Wooden tower and it is a good one since it will be able to shoot at enemies multiple times at once. It will cost you 75 coins to have it and 60 coins to upgrade it.
The Catapult Tower will cost you a total of 150 coins. If you would like to upgrade it, you will have to pay another 75 coins. This one will be able to deal the maximum amount of damage to your opponent, however, note that it will fire slowly. It is slower than the wooden tower. This is good when it comes to battle War Machines that are very hard to kill or Giant Tortums if you’re on the Darigan side.
The Snowball Tower will cost you 200 coins and in order to upgrade it, you will have to spend 100 coins. This one won’t be able to do much when it attacks normally but its special ability will make sure that the enemies are going to slow down. If you have NC, then this tower is not recommended.
The Ranged Tower will cost you 225 coins and will cost you 125 coins in order to upgrade it. This is the perfect tower when it comes to fight the flying enemies that will be a treat to you since the range it will provide is very high. You will usually not need more than two of this. One is enough too.
The Spiked Tower will cost you 150 NC to have and will cost (in game) 200 coins in order to get. To upgrade it, you will have to spend 125 coins. Make sure that you know where your enemies will be coming on because this one will be shooting spikes at them.
The Thumper Tower, which costs 200 NC will have its cost set at 250 coins. In order to upgrade it, you will have to spend another 150 coins. This tower is perfect because you will be given the opportunity of chosing where exactly it will be striking. There will be zero normal attack which means that it is not an auto mated fire that will come out of it. You will have to wait for new waves in order to use the special effect that it will be able to provide. It is recommended that you put your crosshair on where the enemis will spawn because since it will let you fire wherever you want, once an enemy pops up you will simply kill him. This is no good against air units and against giant ones so you will have to make sure that you have what it takes when it comes to these particular enemies. You will not need more than two of those.
The Decoy Tower will cost you 100 NC and in game the price will be set at 40 coins, which is relatively fair. 30 coins will be needed if you would like to upgrade it. This tower will have the ability to attract the attackers that will be on their paths. They will attract them so that you will be able to kill them in a better way.
Lastly, there is the Teleport Tower that will cost you 150 NC to have, and 200 coins in game money with an upgrade cost of 100. This one will be able to attack in a better way than the wooden tower that was first described, which is basic. However, if you would like to use the bonus effect that this tower will be able to provide, which means the teleportation, you will then be able to teleport yourself to other fields during the battle. Note that this is good if there are many enemies on a spot and you would like to move from there. You will not be able to teleport your enemies, however, so make sure that your strategy is not based on that.
Know your Maps
There will be many maps of different difficulties that you will be able to play in. Remember that the harder they are, the more points they will be able to provide and the more waves there will be. Below is a list that will tell you all of the maps that will be present in the game. This guide will also tell you if there is an attacker in it or even a boss that comes at the very end of the level.
The first map is the Lord Kass Invasion which is obtainable when the difficulty is set at easy. There is currently a total of 20 waves and there is no attacker in it. There will be not even a boss, which makes the game extremely easy for you to complete.
The second map is the Storming Meridell Castle which is obtainable when the difficulty is set at Medium. There will be a total of 35 waves and there will be an attacker. However, there will be no boss that will come when it ends. Make sure that you know when the attackers come. They will come on the seventh, fifteenth, nineteenth, twenty seventh and thirty two waves.
The King Skarl Is Not Amused map will cost you 250 NC and it is also of the Medium difficulty. There will be a total of 25 rounds in it and there will be an attacker. There will be even a boss at the end when you have reached the last wave. Know that the attackers will start coming on the seventh wave, wave fourteen, seventeen, twenty one, twenty eight and thirty two. There will be a Blugthak which is a boss at the very end of the level. Instead of the Blugthak, there can also be a Castle Defender if you’re playing as Dargian and not as Meridell.
The Meridell’s Counterattack is a game of the hard difficulty. It has currently a total of 50 waves for you to complete and an attacker at the end. There will be also a boss that can be found at the end of the current level. The attacker can be found on different waves of the game which are wave number seven, fourteen, twenty one, twenty four, twenty eight, thirty three, forty four and forty eight. On that level, you will be able to face the Lord Kass if you’re playing as Meridell, or Jeran if you’re on the Darigan side. These bosses are harder the ones that will be found on the Medium difficulty of King Skarl Is Not Amused.
The last map is the Courtyard Ambush which will cost you a total of 250 NC. This one will have a total of 50 waves in it and will also have an attacker. This has no boss at the end level, however. Note that the attacker will come through different waves of the game. These waves are respectively wave six, thirteen, twenty one, twenty five, thirty, forty, forty four and fifty. There you will see many War Machines and even giant Tortums that will be coming your way and the of the game.
Bonus Items
You will be also given the opportunity to grab bonus items that will be placed in your inventory once it is done.
If you score more than 10 thousands points, you will be given a Battlefield Legends String Lights. Scoring more than 60 thousands points will give you the Battlefield Legends The Board Game prize. Lastly, you will be able to receive the Battlefield Legends Hat if you manage to score more than 100 thousands points.
You will be also able to win prizes that are NC related. The King Skarl Throne Background can be obtained from the map named King Skarl Is Not Amused which is NC costly and you will have to win it in order to receive this prize.
The Courtyard Ambush Background will be obtained once you finish the NC costly game map by the name of Courtyard Ambush.
You will be able to receive a Spiked Tower Trinket if you manage to use the Spiked Tower on the game and from there to win the current battle.
The Thumper Tower Trinket is obtainable if you use the Thumper Tower when you play the game.
The Decoy Tower Trinket is obtainable when you use the Decoy Tower in the game, and you will have to win.
The Teleport Tower Trinket is obtainable as a prize after you use the Teleport Tower on the game and from there you will have to win.
Neopets Neopian Battlefield Legends Strategy & Cheats
You will have to note that not all the maps are the same. They will be always different and that means the waves of the enemy will be able to give you points that will be always different and this is normal. If you’re going after a super high score or after a trophy, then it is recommended that you play on the Hard maps simply because they will give you more points. The regular one that is of the hard difficulty will give you 125,266 points as a maximum score just like the NC map of the hardest difficulty can give. For that reason, purchasing NC does not mean that you will be able to receive a higher score.
Playing on the Darigan Citadel will give you the opportunity to have more ease when completing the maps. It is recommended to start the game and then to place a total of two towers on the field so that when the enemies start coming out, they are directly killed and you will be able to be granted additional points.
Don’t forget that there are upgrades for you to use. You will of course have to spend coins, but never forget that they are fundamental because they will be able to increase your current range, your current damage, your current fire rare or they will be even able to make sure that your tower is back to complete health. For that reason, you will want to know the number of coins you have so that you don’t miss a chance at upgrading stuff.
You will want to create corridors so that you can get more time to destroy the enemies. If you only have towers, it will not be sufficient. You will see many times that an attacker is coming his way out and they will be able to damage the towers of yours. For that reason you will want to note that it is preferable to put a cheap tower on their side of the where they will spawn so that you don’t lose much, and then to proceed and upgrade it.
Some attackers will sometimes be destroying some of your towers. If this is happening, it is recommended that you proceed to selling it as quickly as you can so that you can get a free square where you will be able to put another tower in order to replace it. You will be also able to sell it before it is annihilated so that you will be able to grab some coins before it vanishes. Make sure that you always use the pause button whenever you end it.
If you have the skills, it is recommended that you start making the game go fast by clicking on the button located on the bottom of the screen in order to make it go faster. The hard map will not take more than thirty minutes to complete, so even if the game seems to be long, it is not once you have the basic knowledge of the game.
You will always want to end the game with a total of 100% health if you want to get bonus points, and if you’re going after the trophy that will require you to have the maximum score of 125266 points. Make sure that if you’re going for that trophy to be ready on the first day of the month to be able to score in the top 17 so that you can be given a gold, silver, or bronze trophy depending on your speed. Get it before other people by being quick and effective.
