Neopets Hot Dog Hero is a nice game where you will be collecting as many points as you can while controlling the Hero of all the Hot Dogs. On Neopets Hot Dog Hero, you will be able to use the extra food that is used on Hot Dogs, like ketchup and mustard to go higher or lower, where you will be able to complete your main objective from there.

Gameplay

During the game of Neopets Hot Dog Hero, you will have to use your mouse and the arrow keys that are located on your keyboard in order to make a path for you to use, while throwing sauce in the air. You will mainly have to decide the direction that the Hero Hot Dog will have to take so that they are able to reach the exit door that is usually located at the end of the screen. You will also have to use the left key and the right right in order to decide if the Hero will be going to the right or to the left direction of where he currently is. You will also be able to use the up and down arrow keys which will help you, respectively to jump into the air, or to be able to crouch to prevent the obstacles.

When you will start the game, you will notice that at the top left of the screen, it says pickles. These are what you will be picking, and then there will be a key that is located next to a door. This will indicate that you will have to grab it. After that it will tell you how many Bonus there is currently, along with what level you are located in. Lastly, there is your score. If you look down, there are three containers and the number of lives you currently have. You will be able to clear the path you’re currently in, or to undo X action, which will make sure the action you currently did disappear to what was previously done (before you clicked). Finally, there is an option to end the game if you’re looking to end the current one in order to get the amount of Neopoints you were looking for.

Condiments & Items

The condiments that can be found during the game are the Ketchup, which will make sure that you are able to walk on the path it provides. This is the condiment that you will be using the most.

The second one is the Mustard which will make sure that the Hero Hot Dog you’re current controlling will, once he walks on it, bounce in the air in order to grab points or join the X location that you want him to reach, etc.

The Mayonnaise is the condiment that will help you to to stick where you’re at and you can consider it like a glue. This will help you go upside down on different paths and to be able to stick to the path so that you don’t fall down and lose a life. This is very useful.

There are also items that can be obtained through the game in order to collect points, to finish the current round, etc, and you will have to know them if you’re looking to play seriously because these will determine if you can achieve a high score or even a trophy successfully, or if you will not be able to.

The first one is the bonus that will multiply the number of points you will be able to grab from the objects, and the exact multiplier number will be mentioned as x#.

The second object is the white fireball which are considered hostiles to you and they are not good. You will have to avoid them in order to not lose a life. If they touch you, you will lose one out of the three you are given when you start the game.

After that, there is the key which is essential in order to complete the current level you’re in. You will have to grab the key if you want to complete the current level you’re in by reaching the door and by leaving from it.

Lastly, there are the pickles that are used as ammo and they can be thrown at enemies in order to eradicate them.

Score & Points

Obviously, if you’re going after a super high score or after a trophy, you will have to know the number of points you will be awarded for completing X action. You will be able to grab bonuses during the game, which will require some luck because they will not always give you the same amount. Sometimes they will give you x1, which means 100 points. x2 will give you a total of 200 points and lastly, x3 will give you 300 points. You will be able to also grab points by dealing damage to the enemies you will encounter, and that by throwing pickles at them and killing them for good. The points awarded will be dependent of the enemy you will be shooting.

Below is a list that will show you how many points you will be given for each type of enemy that you can successfully destroy.

If you manage to hit a blue baby fireball, you will be given a total of 5 points added to your additional count.

If you manage to hit a Snorlkin, you will be given a total of 10 points added to your additional count.

If you manage to hit a Slimy Hot Dog, you will be given a total of 10 points added to your additional count.

If you manage to hit a Baby Fireball, you will be given a total of 15 points added to your additional count.

If you manage to hit a Dribblet, you will be given a total of 15 points added to your additional count.

If you manage to hit a Moquot, you will be given a total of 20 points added to your additional count.

If you manage to hit a Bartbat, you will be given a total of 25 points added to your additional count.

Neopets Hot Dog Hero Strategy & Cheats

During the game, you will notice that the emplacement of the items is not always the same because it is different for each individual that starts playing. However, there is a strategy that you can use in order to reach a high score or even a trophy, if you’re going after that. There are also few things that you will have to keep in mind.

Make sure that you do not waste Ketchup for nothing as this is the main condiment of the game, and you will need these to advance further. The mustard is also fine, but since the Hero Hot Dog has the ability to jump, this is only good if there is something very high in the air.

Remember that when you play, you will be able to grab the most amount of points depending on your speed and depending on how many amount of condiments you will be using. The less you use, the more points you will be given. You will be able to achieve your main objective by following few rules.

Start the game by using the mustard you are provided with. Yes, it will make you bounce but it is good to keep the ketchup and the mayo for later. The mustard will make you bounce through the level and you will be able to spot everything so that you even if there are hidden items, you will be able to see them and then to grab them later, because if you press the up arrow key, the Hot Dog Hero will jump but not by a lot. Use the mustard to also jump through all the space you are in, and to grab the bonus items from there so that you can get a lot of points.

As for the pickles, it is not really important to grab first because you will have to focus on the bonuses, simply because they award you more points. However, if they are on your path take them because you will just have to go on them in order to have them collected, and from there you will be able to throw them at your enemy. However, it is also not really a good thing to go after them directly because you will also be given some that you will be able to use during the current level.

When you are about to land, make sure that you switch to another condiment, that is the mayo so that you can get the missing items you still haven’t grabbed.

Make sure that you shoot at the enemies you encounter in order to get all of the bonuses you can, so that you can raise your score by a lot and from there you will be probably even able to be in the high score table from where you will be granted a trophy. Remember to always start with the mustard and to use the ketchup and may in the later level, but by not spending too much of them in order to get a better score.
