Neopets Faerie’s Hope Guide

Faerie’s Hope, formerly known as Neopia Studio, is a delightful mobile app accessible on both iOS and Android devices. This app boasts an intriguing development journey, initially recognized as “Neopets Match 3” during its early stages. In essence, Faerie’s Hope falls under the category of “match-three” games, where players skillfully arrange tiles to create specific configurations that prompt the tiles to vanish. Among its Neopets match-three counterparts are Sutek’s Tomb, Goparokko, and the now-retired Ghoul Catchers.

Story Guide

Faerie’s Hope unfolds its captivating tale in the aftermath of the Fall of Faerieland during the renowned Y12 Faerie Festival. For those eager to catch up on the events leading up to this point, the app provides a “Previously on…” flashback, recounting the history of pre-fall Faerieland, the villainous actions of Xandra turning faeries to stone, and the efforts of Brynn and Hanso in rebuilding the city on the ground.

The new narrative commences when the app reveals a small abandoned house, a remnant of old Faerieland, still perched on a cloud foundation high in the sky. The discovery of this house remains shrouded in mystery, but it hints at Fyora and an unknown Faerie Shoyru being the ones who stumbled upon it.

In this mesmerizing world, the story follows a solitary surviving faerie encased in a crystal. Guided by Fyora, the Faerie Queen, she emerges from the crystal with no recollection of her name. As Fyora helps her remember her elemental affiliation—light—the player gets to choose her name.

With other memories eluding her, Fyora invites the player faerie to relax by playing a game with the assistance of Varia. It is revealed that the player faerie was found when Varia accidentally crashed into her house. Thus, the adventure begins.

The main storyline of Faerie’s Hope advances through the exchange of purple Wocky Jelly, earned by conquering levels. Players have the liberty to progress through the story at their own pace, separate from their level achievements. They can redeem the Wocky Jelly to unveil several scenes of the story at once or opt not to redeem, though it means missing out on some rewards.

Alongside the main story, players can also delve into side stories by accessing a realm called Dreamland, unlocked partway through the second day of the main narrative. In Dreamland, players utilize blue Wocky Jam to progress through these additional stories. They can switch between Dreamland and New Faerieland freely, with Dreamland levels advancing side stories and New Faerieland levels driving the main storyline. Characters from dreams may occasionally cross over into reality, creating intriguing connections.

Interestingly, the Neopia Studio dream sequence was the original storyline of Faerie’s Hope during its early development stages. It involved building a movie studio in Neopia instead of focusing on the reconstruction of a part of Faerieland in the sky after Xandra’s devastation.
