Be-Gone! Can Effects: Removing Unwanted Parts of Your Neopet

Neopets customization has taken a bold step forward, offering you new ways to fine-tune your pet’s look like never before. Say goodbye to unwanted anatomical features, and say hello to a more personalized Neopet! The Be-Gone! potions, available at the NC Mall, make it easier than ever to remove certain anatomical features from your pets, such as wings, eyes, ruffs, and more.

These magical potions are your ticket to transforming your pet’s appearance, whether you want to streamline its design or just get rid of features you no longer find appealing. In this in-depth guide, we’ll dive into everything you need to know about the Be-Gone! potions, from how they work to which pets are eligible. Let’s get started!

What Are Be-Gone! Potions?

The Be-Gone! potions are a set of special customization items in Neopets designed to remove specific anatomical features from your pets. If your Neopet has features that you find unnecessary or just want to change, these potions provide the perfect solution. Whether you’re looking to get rid of extra eyes, wings, ruffs, or other features, Be-Gone! potions allow you to tweak your pet’s design to your heart’s content.

These potions work primarily with basic pet colors, which have a uniform anatomy across the species. This means that even if you have a pet in a more complicated color, such as Darigan or Royal, you can still modify the anatomy without affecting the color’s overall look.

How Do Be-Gone! Potions Work?

The process of using Be-Gone! potions is straightforward and easy to follow. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use them:

  1. Purchase the Potion(s): You can buy Be-Gone! potions individually for 150 NC each, or opt for the Be-Gone Superpack at a discounted price of 1,500 NC. The Superpack is a great deal because it contains all 9 of the available Be-Gone! potions, as well as an exclusive Body Be-Gone! potion.
  2. Go to Your Inventory: After purchasing the potion(s) from the NC Mall, navigate to your inventory to access your newly purchased items.
  3. Apply the Potion to Your Pet: Once in your inventory, select the potion you want to use and apply it to the pet you want to modify. You will see the unwanted anatomical feature removed immediately after the potion is applied.
  4. Check for Restrictions: It’s important to note that the Be-Gone! potions may not work on all Neopets, especially depending on the species and color. Be sure to verify your pet’s eligibility based on its color. Some potions are restricted based on the species or certain color combinations.
  5. Explore Further Customization: If you want to preview how your pet will look after applying the potion, you can use the Dress to Impress feature in the NC Mall. This tool allows you to see how different Be-Gone! potions will affect your pet’s appearance before you make your purchase.

Be-Gone! Potions Available

There are a wide variety of Be-Gone! potions to choose from, each designed to remove specific anatomical features from your pet. Here’s a breakdown of the potions currently available at the NC Mall:

  • Be-Gone Superpack: This convenient pack includes all 9 Be-Gone! potions for 1,150 NC, plus a special Body Be-Gone! potion. It’s a fantastic way to get all the customization potions in one purchase.
  • Antenna & Horns Be-Gone!
  • Body Be-Gone!
  • Drippings Be-Gone!
  • Eyes Be-Gone!
  • Feet Be-Gone!
  • Glow Effects Be-Gone!
  • Hair Be-Gone!
  • Hind Be-Gone!
  • Mouth Be-Gone!
  • Ruff Be-Gone!
  • Wings Be-Gone!

These potions are designed to target specific anatomical features like horns, ruffs, feet, and wings, among others. Each potion works with a particular set of pet colors that contain these anatomical features.

Detailed Breakdown of Be-Gone! Potions

Let’s go deeper into each of the individual Be-Gone! potions and the features they remove.

Ruff Be-Gone!

The Ruff Be-Gone! potion targets pets that have a collar-like feature around their necks (known as a ruff). If you’re tired of that particular aesthetic or just want a sleeker appearance for your pet, this potion is your go-to solution. The potion works with most basic pet colors that have ruff anatomy, including many popular colors.

Eyes Be-Gone!

For those looking to simplify their pet’s appearance or remove multiple sets of eyes, the Eyes Be-Gone! potion is the perfect choice. It works with almost all Neopet colors, with the exception of Baby Pteri. This potion allows you to remove eyes from your pet entirely, leaving behind a more minimalist design.

Feet Be-Gone!

The Feet Be-Gone! potion is ideal for pets with extra feet, such as hooves, paws, or other features. This potion removes the additional feet anatomy, giving your pet a more streamlined and symmetrical look. It works with most basic pet colors that contain feet anatomy.

Wings Be-Gone!

If your Neopet has wings that you feel aren’t suited to its design, the Wings Be-Gone! potion is the solution. This potion allows you to remove wings from most basic pet colors that include them. Whether you want to remove dragonfly wings, angel wings, or fairy wings, this potion makes the process simple.

Mouth Be-Gone!

The Mouth Be-Gone! potion removes the mouth, tongue, or any other extra mouth-like features from your Neopet. It’s a great option for simplifying your pet’s face. This potion works with most Neopet colors, except for a few select ones.

Hind Be-Gone!

The Hind Be-Gone! potion removes hind legs or specific rear body features that some pets possess, especially those that have a more animal-like or fantastical design. This potion works well with most basic pet colors containing these traits.

Hair Be-Gone!

The Hair Be-Gone! potion removes the hair features from Neopets that have any form of visible hair, such as Shoyru, Aisha, or Scorchio.

Glow Effects Be-Gone!

The Glow Effects Be-Gone! potion targets Neopets with glowing features, whether it’s a faint aura or bright glowing effects. This potion can be used to remove these effects and return your pet to a more neutral look.

Drippings Be-Gone!

The Drippings Be-Gone! potion removes excess drips, goo, or liquid-based features that some Neopets have, such as from the Slime or Drippy variants.

Body Be-Gone!

The Body Be-Gone! potion targets your pet’s body features, like tails or limbs, and removes them entirely. It’s a versatile potion that works with most Basic Neopet colors.

Antenna & Horns Be-Gone!

The Antenna & Horns Be-Gone! potion is designed to remove antennae or horns that appear on your pet’s body. This includes all Basic Neopet Colors that feature these anatomical traits, such as Zafara and Poogle.

The Be-Gone Superpack: More Value for Your NC

For those who want to get the best value, the Be-Gone Superpack is a must-have. Priced at 1,150 NC, this Superpack includes all 9 Be-Gone! potions, including the exclusive Body Be-Gone! potion. With the Superpack, you get a great discount compared to purchasing each potion individually for 150 NC each.

The Body Be-Gone! potion is a special addition that removes the entire body of your pet, making it a useful option for those who want to remove body features like tails, wings, or even whole sections of anatomy.

Which Pet Colors Are Eligible?

The Be-Gone! potions primarily work with basic Neopet colors, which are colors that maintain a uniform base anatomy across all pets of that color.

If your Neopet has a basic color, the Be-Gone! potions are most likely to work. Some Lab only colors may not be compatible, so it’s always a good idea to double-check your pet’s color before purchasing the potions.

Additional Tips and Information

Before purchasing the Be-Gone! potions, make sure to visit Dress to Impress in the NC Mall to preview how each potion will alter your pet’s appearance. This feature allows you to see how different anatomical features look when removed, helping you make a more informed decision.

If you find any discrepancies or outdated information in this guide, consider submitting a ticket to Neopets for further assistance. The team continuously updates the FAQ section for Be-Gone! potions, so it’s always worth checking for the most current information.

Conclusion

The Be-Gone! potions are a powerful tool for anyone looking to customize their Neopet’s appearance. Whether you want to remove wings, feet, or even the body itself, these potions provide an easy and fun way to personalize your pet’s look. Be sure to explore the Be-Gone Superpack for the best value and enjoy the full range of customization options that the NC Mall has to offer. Happy customizing!

Mysterious Morphing Experiments MME Guide

Mysterious Morphing Experiments are NC items that morph into other NC items…what?! That’s right! These mysterious items grant buyers multiple items for a great price, but under some spooky conditions.

Mysterious Morphing ExperimentsNeopets MME

WHAT ARE Mysterious Morphing Experiment EXACTLY?

To put it simply: MMEs are limited-time items that you purchase in the NC Mall (for real money) that morph into different items over the course of a few days, and the result is a set of items that you get to keep. There are MMEs and Mini-MMEs, and the latter has fewer stages of transformation and is therefore cheaper.

Actually, it’s more complicated than that, but you get the jist of the jist, right? Let’s go into more detail.

FINDING AND PURCHASING MMEs & MiniMMEs

MMEs are not always available. They are limited-time items that appear in the NC Mall for about a week:

ncmall_mysterious_morphing2-9792156

mall_minimme10_genielampques-4756546

Apart from the fact they have the MME acronym at the beginning of the item name (ex. MME2: Mystical Rain Shower), they can also be identified by the question mark at the bottom right-hand corner of the image, as seen in the examples above.

  • MMEs: 600 – 800 NC
  • MiniMMEs: 300 – 350 NC

THE MME MORPHING BEGINS

While MMEs are still available in the NC Mall, they will not morph. This gives everyone equal playing field as to the randomness of the morphs they do receive.

This is where things start to get complicated. Heh.

After the MME retires from the NC Mall, the items will begin morphing. All MMEs that you have purchased from the same sale morph at the same time, and the items morph no matter where they are in your game: in your inventory, in your gallery, in your Safety Deposit Box, in your closet, or even on your pet! These periods of morphing are called stages. The first time your item morphs, it moves from stage 1 to stage 2. The stage your item is in can be indicated in the name:

  1. MME2-S1: Mystical Rain Shower = Mysterious Morphing Experiment 2 – Stage 1: Name of the item
  2. MME2-S2: Glowing Light Lagoon = Mysterious Morphing Experiment 2 – Stage 2: Name of the item
  3. MME2-S3: Puddle with Golden Fish Tail = Mysterious Morphing Experiment 2 – Stage 3: Name of the itme

There are sometimes different items that come from different stages. In the example of the Frozen-inspired MME2o: Ice Palace Background, there are two items that come from stage 2:

mall_mme20_wintergown-6597348MME20-S2a: Winter Princess Gown mall_mme20_northerngown-4645473MME20-S2b: Northern Princess Gown

The former is considered the first strain of stage 2, so it’s considered MME20-S2a, whereas the latter is considered MME20-S2b. While it may seem completely random which items you will receive from each stage, there is actually a way to predict which items you will receive from the MME that you have purchased.

▻ Predicting your MME items:

Users have discovered a way to predict which items you will receive from the MME in your shopping cart at the NC Mall. We’ll continue to use the Ice Palace MME as our example. If you want to get the first dress in stage 2 (*cough* Elsa’s dress *cough*), you need to know that you’re looking for MME20-S2a, as explained above.

  1. First, go to the NC Mall and put multiple MME20s in your shopping cart.
  2. View your shopping cart.
  3. Highlight all of the text underneath “Neopets items,” being sure to highlight the names of the items.
  4. Here, you’ll need to inspect the element of the page.
    1. Chrome: right click, select “Inspect Element”
    2. Firefox: right click, select “View Selection Source”
    3. Internet Explorer 8: right click, select “View Selected Source”
  5. You are specifically looking for the part of the code that reads: <img id=”XXXXX” class=”toggle_img”…>
  6. The XXXXX is the “ID” of the item and will tell you if you will receive 2a or 2b, or 5a or 5b, etc.
  7. Delete the items in your shopping cart that do not correspond with the items you want. They will be in the same order in your cart as they were in the code.

WHEN THE MORPHING ENDS

After a certain number of days, your item will reach its final stage and effectively stop morphing. It is meant to be a surprise how many times each MME will morph. Of the ones released, MMEs go through 3-5 stages so far. You will know for certain that the morphing period has ended because the item will no longer have a question mark on the bottom right-hand corner of the image.

Once the item is no longer morphing, all of its previous forms will appear as separate items in your inventory! That’s right — you get to keep everything that it has evolved into. MiniMMEs generally go through only a single morph and award 2 items whereas you can receive up to 5 items from regular MMEs. There is always the possibility of getting a bonus item, and there is a specific bonus item for each individual MME and MiniMME. These are completely random and cannot be predicted.

PAST MMEs AND MiniMMEs

Currently, there are no MMEs and MiniMMEs in the NC Mall. To see past prizes, go here.

These items are retired and very often of high demand due to the fact that they are cohesive sets and because they were available for such a limited time.

NOTES

  • If you gift an MME to a friend while it is morphing, they will receive all of the items that the MME has morphed into once morphing is over, even if they didn’t own the MME until its later stages.

Delina’s Crafting Quests Guide

The newest quest-giver to join the Faerieland bunch is Delina, the Crafting Faerie. She requires cheap NC items from the mall and gives you NC wearables in return for doing her Delina Quests.

DELINA'S QUEST

ACTIVE DELINA QUESTS

Like the other faeries, Delina’s Quests requires items in order to grant you her faerie blessing. Uniquely, Delina requires not one, but two items! Both are available in the NC Mall and Faerie Quest Shop. She always asks for two items that amount to a total worth of 150 NC. Depending on the items she requests, there are corresponding prizes.

To complete Delina’s quest, simply purchase the items she requests and return to the quests page.
You also have the option of canceling the quest at no penalty, which you can also do on the quests page.

While the older items are available to purchase, the current crafting quests (using the above items) give the following prizes:

Neopets Patapult Guide

Patapult is one of the many active games in the NC Mall! Patapult is a Neocash game, meaning it cannot be played with neopoints and can be played on side accounts. Users buy Patapuff packs from the NC Mall and can then play the skeeball game and earn exclusive wearable prizes!

Patapult

GETTING STARTED — PATAPUFFS

In order to play Patapult, you must buy a Patapuff pack. Patapuffs are sold in the NC Mall and can be purchased in three different quantities:

As you can see, Patapuff packs can be purchased individually or in packs of 5 or 10. Buying larger packs decreases the amount of an individual Patapuff and is essentially a better deal. If you plan to play multiple times for a specific prize, consider buying one of the larger packs to save money!

Unlike other NC Mall games like Shenanigifts and Wonderclaw, there are no Power-Ups in Patapult.

PLAYING PATAPULT

To start the game, go to the homepage and click “PLAY”. Patapult is a unique NC Mall game in that it takes actual skill to get the prizes you would like. The game only requires a mouse or trackpad, and there are two main controls: 1) Use your mouse to drag the Patamoose back and forth in order to aim it, and 2) Left click on the Patamoose and drag it towards the idol of your choice to launch it.

Patapult

Depending on which prize you are aiming for, you can aim and launch your Patamoose at Wood, Bronze, Silver, or Gold idols. These tiers provide different prizes, so check out the “Prizes” section of this article before playing!

For each Patapuff you use, you have three chances to get an idol, which will correspond with the areas on the map above. If you miss, you will generally end up with a Wood idol. Each of the three rounds should result in an idol, and you can decide if you want to keep it or try again after each time. If you get the idol you want on your first or second throw and decide to keep it, the game will end, and you would have to use another Patapuff to continue playing.

Unfortunately, the game takes some practice, and it might require quite a few Patapuffs before you get the tier you’d like, say Silver or Bronze. Be careful if you’re playing for the first time and only have a limited amount of Patapuffs!

REDEEMING Patapult PRIZES

Redeeming prizes requires the idols that you win during the game. The amount of idols you have will appear on the homepage of the game, and not in your inventory.

Patapult prizesAs you can see, I have 0 of each idol… 🙁

Each prize is worth a certain amount of idols in a certain tier. To collect a prize, simply click “REDEEM IDOLS” under your Acquired Idols count. A prize can only be collected if you have the exact idol that is required, meaning a Bronze-tier prize needs a Bronze idol to be redeemed; even if you have a Bronze Idol and want a Wood-tier prize, it won’t work.

Neopets Shenanigifts Guide

Shenanigifts is the latest game to come from the NC Mall in which users can exclusive NC wearables! After buying in-game “invitations,” which can be found in the Mall, users can attend parties and use “Power-Ups” to win Neocash prizes. Read more below to see how to play and what you can win!

GETTING STARTED Shenanigifts – INVITATIONS & POWER-UPS

In order to play, users must have an “invitation” which are necessary to enter a particular party. Invitations can be purchased from the NC Mall individually or in packs:

As you can see, buying packs will save you NC in the long run. While a 1-pack values an invitation at 150 NC, buying a 5-pack values them at 100 NC each. If you plan on playing Shenanigifts multiple times, consider buying a pack! When you’re ready to play, simply go to your inventory, click on the invitation, and click “Activate” in the scroll-down menu. The item will activate in-game and will never expire.

There are also optional Power-Ups that can be used in the game, also purchasable through the NC Mall:

NEOPETS Shenanigifts

Power-Ups will not show up in your inventory, but instead, you will find them in your in-game inventory.
These three Power-Ups have different functions:

  • Extra Chance Shenanigifts Power-Up — You can use this Power-Up to choose a fourth Elephante during the game.
  • 2 Gift Party Shenanigifts Power-Up — You can use this Power-Up to win a second prize! This is both the most expensive and most popular Power-Up.
  • Second Look Shenanigifts Power-Up — You can use this Power-Up after you’ve taken your third turn

While Power-Ups are not necessary, you may want to consider them if you are aiming for a specific prize.

PICKING A PARTY IN Shenanigifts

In Shenanigifts, the different parties give out different prizes, and each has a specific theme. There are currently three active parties: Garden PartyLunar Festival Party, and Caroling Party. If you want a specific prize, check out the items you can win in the “Prizes” section of this article and choose the corresponding party! Each party has the same amount of items to possibly win.

PLAYING SHENANIGIFTS

Shenanigifts is a very simple game. First, choose a party to attend on the main page and then click “Join the Party”. Once you’re inside of the party, you will start giving gifts by selecting a party attendant, confirm that you would like to in fact choose that guest, and then the (surprisingly nameless) purple Elephante host will present you with their gift. Now, you decide if you want to take this gift and exit the game or continue receiving gifts. If you want a different gift, click “Pick Another” and then select another party guest. Warning: Without the right Power-Ups, the Elephante whose gift you rejected will fade away and cannot be re-selected. Every round you play (1 invitation), you can choose up to a third Elephante. If you reject the first two gifts you receive, you will be with the third gift you receive. Rarely, you can win a bonus item, which is completely random. Your gift(s) can be found in your item inventory at the end of the game.

You can use your Power-Ups during and at the end of the game, so this is where the only game strategy will take place. You can see how many of each Power-Up you have on the homepage, and you can always buy more at the NC Mall.
