Neopets Chemistry For Beginners Guide

Neopets Chemistry For Beginners invites you into the lab of a crazy Ixi scientist, tucked away in a dark Haunted Woods dungeon.  The Ixi scientist practices some… unique chemistry that you won’t find in your everyday science textbook.  Chemistry for Beginners is a puzzle game involving the synthesis of novel Neopian compounds that can be cashed in for game points.  Do you have what it takes to make it through all the levels of the mad scientist’s game?

Chemistry For Beginners

How To Play Chemistry For Beginners

The game board is set up in a grid formation.  You are presented with individual atoms one at a time and you may place the atom anywhere on the grid.  Placing an atom adjacent to an existing one will form a bond if the combination makes an existing compound and the compound disappears from the screen, earning you game points.  A list of possible atom combinations are displayed for you to the right of the game board for your reference.  Hovering your mouse over the compound will display the amount of points that it is worth.

You must reach a certain score to beat the current level and advance to the next.  As you progress through the game, new compounds are discovered and you are given more atoms and possible combinations to work with.  However, you have to play smarter as well, as the scores demanded to advance in the game also become more challenging.

But be careful!  You can’t just throw any combination of atoms together! (That’s how lab accidents happen!)  There are certain atom combinations that are unstable, and if you accidentally synthesize one of these compounds, you will lose the game!  Additionally, if you run out of atoms before you have reached the score needed to advance, it’s game over!

Chemistry For Beginners

Chemistry For Beginners Atoms and Compounds

There are five atoms in Chemistry for Beginners: Neopium (Np; green), Tyrannium (Ty; blue), Slothite (Sl; red), Faeryllium (Fae; gold) and Krawkite (Kr; silver).  You will begin the game with only Neopium, and the others are introduced throughout the game.  Tyrannium appears in level 2, Slothite is unlocked in level 6, Faeryllium makes its debut in level 10 and Krawkite is finally revealed in level 14.  Below are all of  the compounds that will earn you points (and the ones that will blow up your lab!):

Compound Point Value Level Unlocked
Np-Np 1 1
Np-Ty-Np 2 2
Ty-Ty-Ty 2 3
Ty-Ty-Ty-Ty-Ty 4 5
Np-Sl-Sl-Np 4 6
Np-Ty-Np-Ty-Np 6 8
Np-Fae-Fae-Fae-Np 7 10
Sl-Sl-Sl-Sl-Sl-Sl-Sl 10 13
Kr-Kr 1 14
Sl-Kr-Sl-Kr-Sl-Kr 10 16
Sl-Sl-Sl-Sl UNSTABLE 7
Fae-Kr UNSTABLE 18

Chemistry For Beginners Cheats and Tips

  • Always go for the compounds worth more points rather than going for the quick, easy points.  Once you unlock the ten point Slothite compound, always try to go for this one.
  • Be careful building the ten point Slothite chain!  If you chain four Slothites together, you lose! When building, you must create two chains of three and then link them with the seventh Slothite to make the final compound.
  • Clearing the board gives you a 5 point bonus (which makes all the difference if you are going for a trophy!).  Keep an eye on the upcoming atoms and see if you can plan ahead to clear the board.

239_1-5339799239_2-3764696239_3-5881766

  • You will receive one bonus point for each atom that is not used when beating a level, so find a good balance between cashing in big compounds and earning bonus points.
  • The order of atoms that you are presented with in the first fourteen levels will be the same every time you play the game!  That means that once you have found the sequence in which to play your atoms to maximize your level score, you can continue to use this sequence each time you play! Pro tip: there are some good petpages out there that have walkthroughs for each level!

Well, you are ready to make some crazy science!  All the best to you… and try not to blow anything up!

Neopets Adventure Generator

Neopets Adventure Generator is a game where it will list a complete set of Neoadventures for you to progress in, and it will also give you the ability to browse these adventures by some of the easiest ways, meaning by categories, or by usernames. There will be a top 40 reserved for the top 40 highest rated Neoadventures that will be played by Neopians. Neopets Adventure Generator will also give you the opportunity to browse in a category to locate a test or even a quiz for you to complete.

Adventure Generator Information

During the Neopets Adventure Generator, you will be able to browse adventure and be able to see a list where there will be written the title and the creator of it. There will also be many descriptions for each and every adventure. You will be able to click on the Info range to see the creator’s user lookup. This way, you will be able to directly Neomail them if you have any questions or concerns about their adventure. Another range will be offered for you to click, it is the Rating one. This will tell you, to give you more information about other people who have participated in the adventure and are well positioned to tell you what they think about it (if it was easy, hard, boring, relaxing, nice, interesting, etc), rating it on a scale of one to five. There will be also a range called Category, which will give you information about the type of the adventure that you will be facing next. A last range is offered to you, which is the Pages. This one will give you information about the number of pages that were needed in order to creator the specific adventure you’re planning to participate on. It will also tell you the amount of time it will take, but it is not really a necessary information.

During the Neopets Adventure Generator, you will encounter different lengths of adventures. For example, you will be facing long adventures, but it does not mean they’re necessarily good for your advantage, or not. The Test and Quiz section is where you will enjoy long adventures the most simply because they will give you a higher quiz quality for you to complete, thus more questions and results. Of course, there are also short quiz but don’t start thinking they’re bad or whatever.

Adventure Generator

Adventure Generator Gameplay

When you start the Neopets Adventure Generator, you will be given a black window with green sentences on it. You will be presented with a short guide on how to play. This can be considered as an introductory page that will explain to you the instructions of the quiz, depending on the battle and on the setting for the specific story. After this dialogue, your adventure will begin, so you will have to get ready.

There will be from one to four options on every page of the screen. These pages will indicate what you will have to do for each link that will change your current location to another page of the adventure (that will be depended of the adventure you first picked). The adventures will be taking you to the next steps, after that.

Whenever the adventure is completely finished, you will have the opportunity (and you’re really considered) to give the creator a heads up that you’ve done their adventure and that you think x thing, and y thing. You can also Neomail them to let them know what you preferred or like the least, so that they can maybe change it in the future and get working on it. If there were technical difficulties during the Neopets Adventure Generator, you should also Neomail the creator and give a full and detailed explanation about what has exactly happened, etc. You will be able to rate it on a scale of 1 to 5. 5 is the best. Do not rate the games based on how well you’ve played the game. If you’re not good enough, it is not a reason to give them a 1. If you’ve found it easy, it is also not a reason to give them a 5. Look at the game performance and if it is missing something. If you think that “it is the perfect adventure”, then go ahead and give them a 5.

Making The Adventure

You’ve probably played a lot of adventures and had so much fun that you’ve decided to come up with your own. No problem, you will be able to do so by clicking on the button Create Your Own Adventure. Once this is done, you will see a page called Creating your Neoadventure. When you see this page, it means that you will have to name the Adventure a name you’d like. After that, you will have to proceed to the idea of the story. If you’re really stuck on what it will be able, there will be a Generate button for you to click, and it will give you random titles and inspiration for your own advantage. If you’re really hard minded and would like to create the game yourself, then don’t create on generate. Simply wait until a good story comes flying past your head!

After that, you will have to decide the color scheme of the adventure you have chosen, to use on. There will be a background color for you to pick, and there will also be the font color for the text on the specific page. Another color will be for the title, which is located at the top. A link color is on the bottom and the border color is directly under the title bar for you to use between the pictures.

When the color picking is done, you can now think of whether or not you would like to make page numbers. That means you will be able to think on your own and decide if you’re going to tell other neopian participants if they are on the page of your Neoadventure, currently.

How to Edit Adventure in Generator

Of course, you will sometimes make mistakes or change your mind and you will want to know how to edit your adventure in order to make it better (or worse). You would maybe want to make it more fair or even more challenging, all that is up to you. If you’re looking to edit it, simply click on the button that is located on the Neopets Adventure Generator page and it will get you back to the editing section.

When your Neoadventure is ready, you will be given the opportunity to create the first page of yours. To do that, simply type in a text for the page of your choice and that’s it. You will also be given the opportunity to add extra stuff to the page of your choice.

Pictures

Yes, you will be able to add pictures to make the adventure more and more exciting. It is recommended that you actually use this feature for all of your pages, simply because the pictures will give your sentences a “life”. It has been scientifically proved that plain texts will make people lose interest, three times more than if the text contain pictures. Also, the pictures will be easy to add compared to choosing a title, which is what you have done at the beginning. Note that the picture you will be providing will have to come from Neopets.com site or from the images.neopets.com. Don’t get mad, though, because there is a large variety of pictures for you to choose from. There are many that you will even be flooded with. You will find pets, items, etc.

Whenever you have picked the picture(s) you want, click on them with the right button of your mouse and copy to url. If you have a Mac, simply press on CTRL then click. After that, you will want to go to Add a page to be able to paste the link in the space you will see there. Then, you will have to make sure that you have successfully deleted the part that will always show near the bar. The reason behind that is that the URL will be there and it will be put there twice if you do not remove it. It is not a big deal, though, but it is better to remove it to assure a clean and smooth action.

Note that teh pictures are currently broken for now until TNT fixes the problem. The URL will be broken when you will try to put in. Simply report them to TNT so that they can look further into it.

Exits

Of course, an adventure always has an exit, otherwise you will never be able to go to a different place. It is possible to add exists, but you will have to create more pages. When this is done, you will be able to edit the pages so that you can make a network of exits that will make the story better in a way.

Exits are actually a really important factor of the game because they will serve a lot of functions during the levels, and they will even take the hero of yours to the next step during the Neoadventure. Multiple exits can be found during an adventure and the player will be able to choose the destiny of their choice, for the specific story. As an example, if a hero is going to the edge, on x location, and that his enemy is chasing him. You will be able to give him these exists so that he can get a chance to survive. This is a very important and fundamental part of the game simply because it does really determine the easiness or the hardness of an adventure.

Each page can have a total of four exists. There will be lines where you will be able to type on it the text of your choice and the answer for it (what the hero will do next, for example). When all of your exits are successfully created, your achievement will be ready.

Adventure Generator

Ends

Note that every adventure will have to end the adventure, because it is impossible for a Neoadventure to be unlimited. To do that, you will have to add Dead Ends and Finish Lines. A dead End is a adventure where your hero will have died or he has failed because a monster was successfully able to chase him. A Finish Line is where the hero of the adventure is successfully saved because he has succeeded in his task to kill the dragon, do x job, etc. If you still don’t know what both stand for, consider that the Dead Ends are “bad endings” and that the Finish Lines are “good endings”.

Editing

There will be a Master List accessible for you so that you can decide whether to want to create a Neoadventure, if you would like to edit or delete it. It is really recommended in case you have came back with different ideas, etc. There will also be a title with an interrogative mark that you will see everywhere coming up. Use it for your own advantage, as it will give you more information about the current task you are working on. TNT’s instructions have also been very helpful, so it may be a good choice to click on them for your own purpose.

If you would like to edit a page, or to delete it, all you will have to do is to click on the button (located on the line near the page). The first page, however, will not be able to be delete. You will only be able to edit it if you’re not happy with it.

Remember that if you’re looking to create a page, you will have to click on the Add a Page link that will be located at the top of the page. From there you will be able to think on a title, and on your adventure. If you’re not happy with it, with the title, or with anything else, simply edit. You will be able to edit as many times as you want, and don’t forget to use pictures to make the adventures more interesting.

Neopets Scamander Swarm

Neopets Scamander Swarm is one of the few Neopets games that is entirely based on luck. Located in the Lost Desert, you must bet on which door the Red Scamander will go into during the Neopets Scamander Swarm game. There are no trophies, only small Neopoint winnings, so Neopets Scamander Swarm is just for fun really!

Scamander Swarm

Scamander Swarm Game Play

Throughout each of the five rounds of Scamander Swarm you are presented with a number of doors surrounding a Lost Desert courtyard. The aim of the game is to successfully guess which door the special Red Scamander will go into, regardless of the yellow ones. Each door is marked with a number, and you start the first level with just two doors, the second with three, the third with four and so on.

To start a new game, you must pay 25 neopoints and select which door you wish to bet on. In each successive round, if the special Red Scamander picks you door you can move onto the next level, but if it does not then you have to restart the game, similarly to Kiss the Mortog or Double or Nothing in Meridell. Once you have selected the door, a swarm of Scamanders appears and starts running around the courtyard. Most of them are yellow, but you want to keep an eye on the special Red Scamander, as this is the one that counts.

Scamander Swarm

Neopoints, Points and Scoring

As mentioned, to start each game costs 25 neopoints to the player. By winning level one, your wager is doubled x2 to make the wager for level 2, 50np. However, after this each new level’s win the previous level’s multiplier and then +1. For example, level three is x2(+1), so x3 of the previous. Your new winnings becomes 150, from 50 points. Below is a graph to illustrate this:

Level 1 25np
Level 2 x2 = (usually 50np)
Level 3 x3 = (usually 150np)
Level 4 x4 = (usually 600np)
Level 5 x5 = (usually 3,000np)

However this is not definitive, as you can also earn extra points by the special Red Scamander eating a Tchea fruit throughout the level. Each round has a few spread out across the level. Only the Red Scamander eating one will add to the bonus. The bonus is an extra 50nps added to the wager. In theory, if the Red Scamander eats all 4 Tchea Fruit on all 5 levels, your maximum neopoints earned could be over 40,000nps – but this is extremely rare. In most cases, the Red Scamander will not even eat one Tchea Fruit.

  • By clicking the corner of the eye on the top left hand Scamander on the title page you can make TPOSG (The Phantom Orange Shirt Guy, aka Ollie) appear at the bottom, covered in Scamanders. This doesn’t help your game, but like all games worked on by The Phantom Orange Shirt Guy, is a nice Easter Egg.
  • It is rumoured that by clicking ‘Door 1’ on the first level, there is an above average chance of getting it correct. This only works for level 1 however.
  • The trick to this game, just like Guess the Mortog and Double or Nothing only without the trophy, is to know when to stop. Before you start have a sense of how much Neopoints you want to earn, and then quit whilst you’re ahead at that point. Because remember, each loss sets you back to the beginning. For reference, here are your chances of winning each level:
Level Chances
1 50%
2 33%
3 25%
4 20%
5 16%

Neopets Sakhmet Solitare

Neopets Sakhmet Solitare is one of the oldest games on Neopets, and Sakhmet Solitare is also one of the most well loved, and most fun games you can lose hours procrastinating over. Found in Sakhmet, Sakhmet Solitare also does not require you to play up against other Neopians for a trophy, making it one of the easier trophies achievable.

Sakhmet SolitareHow to Play Sakhmet Solitare

Above is a screenshot of your gameplay. At the very beginning you may choose whether to draw 1 card or 3 cards. Whilst both have their benefits and disadvantages it is generally understood that 3 cards is both easier and more enjoyable a way to play.

At the top left, you will see the number of your round and the amount of draw remaining. Each game has three rounds, and in a typical game of ‘draw three’ you will have 7 draws at the beginning of the First Round. This number will decrease throughout the game. On your final round, this font will be bright red, indicating the ending. Second on the right is the number of Game Points awarded. The third column shows your total High Score, which is the game points from each game played in that month combined. Finally, it shows points today. Apart from the top left section showing draws remaining, the rest is largely useless especially with regards to the easier trophies available from this game.

Beneath these four columns is your actual game. You can draw new cards by clicking the face down card at the top left, and these will be displayed alongside. The four blank spaces at the top are for building up your piles of Aces. The aim of the game is to have these four piles full of the cards Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8, Jack, Queen, and King in their respective suits. You can do this by clicking them from the board, and then clicking the space, but it must be one in order. For example you cannot put a 2 of Hearts up unless you have the Ace of Hearts already there.Sakhmet SolitareTo move cards around beneath, you must click on them to be highlighted and then click the desired place to put them. Cards must be built up in reverse numerical order of opposing colours, like red – black – red – black – red or vice versa. Starting with the highest card, you may place the next card down in numerical order of the opposite colour. For example, the first card in the screenshot above is a red 3, so on top of this you must place a black 2. Beside it is a black 5, so you must place in order a red 4, black 3, then red 2 in order for the moves to be legal.

You do not have to only move one card at a time however, you may move whole piles of cards at a time. Simply click the highest numbered card in the pile and the whole pile will be highlighted to move.

And finally, once you have moved a card from the top of a face down pile, using an example from the screenshot above – the black 8 onto the red 9, the card beneath the 8 will flip over, becoming the new card at the top of the face down pile. The screenshot below is the same game, further along to give you an indication of the gameplay.Neopets Solitare

Sakhmet Solitare Scoring

All points throughout the game will be earned by placing cards onto the Ace Pile. Each Ace itself is worth 20 points, and each subsequent card is worth 10 points, except for the King which grants you 85 points a piece. You’ll earn 860 points for winning a game. You will also earn Neopoints depending on how many cards you were able to move up to the Ace Piles throughout the game. It costs 50nps to play a game of Sakhmet Solitare, and although you can only earn Neopoints up to 5,000 points a day – you will inevitably profit from this game.

Sakhmet Solitare Trophy Tips

There are two types of trophies to be won from Sakhmet Solitare. The first type, are fairly random – but much more common, you will see most people sporting one of these types of trophies:

77_3-2085634 Bronze Trophy – 2x wins

77_2-1915952Silver Trophy – 5x wins

77_1-4371837Gold Trophy – 2x wins in a row

The other type of trophy you can score is with the high score table, and this is based on your cumulative points scored.

76_1-990161576_2-311894376_3-8383105

However, as the high score table is currently over 30,000,000 + points for a top place, you’ll need to play a lot of games to achieve this, somewhere over 34,000 games at winning, so considerably more when you factor in a win rate at this game is less than 5%.

Sakhmet Solitare Cheats

  • Always pick the 3 card drawn options than the 1 card drawn options, it helps a lot more throughout the game than the 1 card.
  • Play from the playing field first rather than the stack pile, it is more important to reveal all the cards on the playing field first and use the pile as backup.
  • Don’t immediately move a card from the playing field onto a new space if it doesn’t reveal a new card or help the game. The coloured counterpart might be under the next card draw and be more useful.
  • Don’t play too quickly – you’re not on a timer, so you can take your time. Better to take your time than miss a move than could make the difference between a win or a loss.
  • This game is 99% luck, so don’t be disheartened if the trophies are a long time coming, and you tend to lose most games. This is quite common.

Neopets Clara on Ice

Clara on Ice is the sister game of the equally popular game featuring a Snuffly instead of Clara Chatham, Let It Slide. Our heroine, Miss Chatham must slip, slide and jump her way out of harm’s reach in order to continue investigating Neopia’s mysteries accompanied by extraordinarily catchy music. Clara, from Clara on Ice has been separated from Roxton and Jordie. Can you help her beat the game?

Clara on Ice

How to Play Clara on Ice

Clara on Ice is your typical side scrolling game, timed, and hugely addictive. Playing Clara, you must work your way through the Ice Caves, avoiding obstacles and collecting bright green jewels along the way for maximum points. Below is a screenshot of your typical game:

Clara on Ice

At the top right, beside the timer icon is the amount of time remaining, each level starts with 200 seconds on the clock. However, this is not your typical timed game as this is only for bonus points. If you wish to complete the level with a high score, pay particular attention to the timer, but if you’re playing for fun you can practically ignore it. In the centre you can see how many lives you have left – three lives for three levels seems easy enough, and there will be opportunities to collect more throughout the levels. Finally the green jewel at the top left and a number indicates how many you’ve collected so far.

Point System

Each jewels collected is worth 10 points, and for each heart found and collected will add on an extra 50 points to your game. The timer, as mentioned is crucial for a high score, as for every second remaining on the clock is worth a point. However since jewels are worth more than seconds, if theres a choice between spending a little more time collecting an extra jewel, pick the jewel.

For every level you can collect up to 80 jewels and 6 hearts in total, adding up to 1100 points per level. Add in the time bonus (on a speed run, this could be around 80 points pet level), and there is roughly a potential to earn around 3500 points by the end of the game – likely earning you a gold trophy.

Clara on Ice Controls

Clara is controlled with the three arrow keys as she works her way through part of Terror Mountain. She must head right towards each level’s goal, using the right button accordingly, left to turn back and left (or the space bar) to jump. An extended press of either up or the space bar will result in a longer jump. Watch out however, because Clara will slip on the ice laden slopes, so keep strong control over the keys at all times. In order to pick up jewels and extra lives, simply walk over them.

Obstacles

No game would be complete without an enemy to over come, in Clara on Ice these enemies are Snow Beasts. Snow Beasts walk to and fro within certain, usually limited areas and will make you lose a life on contact. In the first level, this is your main obstacle to overcome, but they are relatively easy. On the second level their behaviour changes slightly, you’ll start to see Snow Beasts jumping, walking, and most importantly throwing snowballs at you. Around halfway through this level a small section of several hovering Snow Beasts prevents your passage whilst you navigate a moving platform to get past them. With the snowballs, this is perhaps the trickiest section. The third level introduces a boss Snow Beast (because what good platform game would be without a boss level?) who throws huge icicle filled snowballs at you in an arc pattern. The best method to escaping past is either to lose a life – assuming you have many to lose, or use a helicopter hat to glide on past him.

p1_ry_06a88a9527-9580530

Some of the other obstacles you may encounter on your journey through the Ice Caves include as follows

Level 1 – Ice that melts as soon as you step on it (watch out and be quick with this one!) moving wooden floor boards, and of course, slippery slopes. Slippery slopes could also be a bonus or a problem, as the speed allows you to jump further distances either into hearts or into Snow Beasts.

Level 2 – One of the new obstacles introduced on level two is water hazards. The particular water hazards in Clara on Ice, whilst they won’t kill you immediately, will make you take damage over time until you jump out of the water. In order to cross large expanses of water, unstable blocks of ice will allow you to jump across, with some degree of speed and skill. Another obstacle is the boulder, which in order to use to your advantage you must get on top of it and walk slowly in the opposite direction you intend to go in.

Level 3 – The third and final level is the most difficult, as you will have to use all the skills earned from the previous levels combined in order to pass this one. It introduces large, hard to avoid stalactites which can trip you up easily and make you lose a life. Avoid accidentally sliding into them. Whilst there is nothing more dangerous or newer than you will have seen already, they will be a lot harder to traverse this level.

Neopets Clara on Ice Cheats

  • Typing the word ‘stalactites‘ will grant you an extra life at any point in the game, vital if you’re running low on lives or going for an elusive high score or trophy.
  • Watch out for helicopter hats as they can help your game immensely, especially in the final level. They work as an extra far jump, adding a glide each time you hit the space bar, and will remain on until you take damage.
  • Geysers occur in the second and third levels, take advantage of these by jumping into them and holding the up arrow or space bar for a further jump. They can carry you great distances past obstacles and will not cause you any harm.
  • As you are not timed, feel free to relax and take your time over the game. However for a higher score, its necessary to practise until you can pass every level quickly.
