How to Play Neopets Grave Danger

If it is not obvious already, it is essential that you have a petpet to play Grave Danger, which means one pet on your main account needs to have a petpet attached and named.

It’s important that you’re careful about which petpet you choose to go on an adventure. When you do this, the pet of which this petpet is attached cannot be pounded, the petpet cannot be removed, and the petpet cannot be zapped.

Equipping your Neopet on Grave Danger

This is the point in which you can decide if you’d like to equip your petpet before sending it into the Catacombs. You can equip your petpet with items from the NC Mall that can only be used one time. After that, they disappear! There is only one piece of equipment currently available:

You don’t need to do anything to the equipment to use it. Simply click “Equipment” under your chosen petpet’s image and you will be prompted to chose something. You cannot stack equipment.

Starting your Journey in Grave Danger Neopets

Once you’ve chosen a petpet and equipped them (if you’d like to), then you will be prompted to verify your decision:

Neopets Jhudora’s Bluff is located in Faerieland, on Jhudora’s Cloud. There will be standing the Dark Faerie Jhudora, where you will be able to do quests for her. Neopets Jhudora’s Bluff quests will not be available if you’re doing Illusen’s quests at the same time because both of these faeries are rivalries.

Jhudora’s Bluff Gameplay

At any time during any given day, you will be able to do a quest for Jhudora. This is not a random event where Jhudora will ask you to do a quest for her. Instead, you will be able to decide whether or not you want to help her out. Remember that you will not be able to ask her for a quest if you’re already doing one for Illusen, simply because she hates her. You will also be able to get the Evil Jhudora avatar if you complete one of her quest during February 4th.

Note that because of the limited time of 16 minutes 40 seconds, you will be able to use the Shop Wizard to complete Jhudora’s quests. However, if you fail to bring her the requested item because you took too much time (more than 16 minutes 40 seconds), you will get back to the first level and if you were on the high score table of Jhudora’s Bluff, you will also be removed from there. You will then have to wait 12 hours, just like if you’ve finished the quest to be able to receive another quest from her.

After finishing a quest for Jhudora, you will be able to seek another quest, after 12 hours of time, but the rarity of the items will increase. For the first quests, you will be fine with the quests she will impose, but after that, the items will become mostly unbuyables, in the millions NP range. There will be even a point where even if you have the NP, you will not find any seller for the item you’re looking for. Look for the Jhudora’s Bluff guide to get advice and ways to get to the last level, which is 50.

For the first levels of Neopets Jhudora’s Bluff, sometimes she will ask you for unbuyables items, which means that they are items that can not be traded between Neopians. If you find yourself in that situation, keep calm. There is a store that has infinite amount of stock and this is where you will be able to go in order to finish the quest. The store is called Neohomes Superstore, where you will be able to visit from Neopia Central.

Neopets Jhudora’s Quest Prizes

Every time you will finish a quest for Jhudora, you will be sometimes rewarded with prizes. Not all the levels will give you a prize, though. Approximately 1/3 of them. You should note that the item Jhudora will ask you for will be dependent of the quest level you’re currently on. For the first levels, the rarity of the items will be pretty reasonable and you will be able to find them in the Shop Wizard. For the later levels, the items will get more expensive and they will be possibly found in auctions, on the trading post or through other places. Below is a list that will show you the item rarity you will be asked for each level, along with if there is a prize upon successful completion or not.

Level 1: For the first level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r10 and r25. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Poisonous Lollypop.

Level 2: For the second level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r15 and r25. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 3: For the third level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r20 and r30. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Noxious Nectar.

Level 4: For the fourth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r20 and r37. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 5: For the fifth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r28 and r40. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Jhudoras Brush.

Level 6: For the sixth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r32 and r45. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 7: For the seventh level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r36 and r46. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 8: For the eighth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r40 and r51. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Purple Blob Potion.

Level 9: For the ninth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r40 and r57. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 10: For the tenth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r48 and r62. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 11: For eleventh level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r50 and r62. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Jhudora T-Shirt.

Level 12: For the twelfth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r56 and r66. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 13: For the thirteenth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r60 and r69. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 14: For the fourteenth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r60 and r74. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Gnome Shroom.

Level 15: For the fifteenth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r66 and r80. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 16: For the sixteenth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r72 and r83. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 17: For the seventeenth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r75 and r87. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Caustic Potion.

Level 18: For the eighteenth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r78 and r87. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 19: For the nineteenth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r82 and r92. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 20: For the twentieth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r85 and r93. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Dark Faerie Magic.

Level 21: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r88 and r94. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 22: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r90 and r94. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 23: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r92 and r96. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Malice potion.

Level 24: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r93 and r96. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 25: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r94 and r96. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 26: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r95 and r98. Upon successful completion of that level, no prize will be awarded.

Level 50: During that level, the item rarity will only be r99. Upon successful completion, you will be given a Wand of the Dark Faerie.

Neopet’s Jhudora’s Quest Scores & Points

Just like Illusen’s Glade, there is a high score table for Jhudora’s Bluff, which will reset every month. If you’re going after a high score or after a trophy, you will have to know how exactly the pointing works. Just by completing one quest of Jhudora, you will be given 1,000 points. Know that there is a maximum time of 16 minutes 40 seconds for every quest, which is a total of 1,000 seconds. Each single second is considered like a bonus point. Every time you waste a second, you will also lose a bonus point. For that reason, you will have to be fast when completing quests.

Through the month, the scores that are obtained by Jhudora’s quests will increase simply because the quests are cumulative, like seen before, and are able to go to higher levels where the limit is level #50. You will be able to complete a quest every 12 hours. If you’re going after a trophy, you will have to start at level 1. If you fail one of her quests, not only you will have to wait 12 hours to be able to receive another one, but you will be removed from the high score table if you’ve been there during that specific month. It is always recommended that you try for the trophy at the first the of the month, because the HST will reset then, for all games.

Neopets’ Jhudora’s Quest Cheats

If going after the trophy, you will have to get the quest done in the minimum amount of time, which means that you should be ready. Because there is chance that you receive a non-trading neohome item during the first few quests, copy the URL of the Neohomes Superstore so that you will be able to get there to purchase the item Jhudora is looking for, then to finish the quest in a manner of seconds. For the later levels, where the items will get harder to find, try to start the quest(s) when there is a lot of people online, and when the boards are active. This way, you will be able to make a notice so that they will know you will be seeking a specific r99 item. If, however, no one have the item, you can try to search them through the galleries and hope that the owner of these items is online at that time, even if the chances are very slim.

Finally, there is another Avatar that you can receive, the Jhudora’s Cloud Avatar, which is obtained when you successfully complete Jhudora’s quest #20.

Neopets Illusen’s Glade is located in Meridell where you will be able to take quests from Illusen herself. Neopets Illusen’s Glade will not give you too much time for quests completion, though, so you may want to prepare yourself.

Illusen’s Glade Gameplay

Whenever you want, you will be able to visit Illusen’s Glade to take a quest. However, note that you will only be able to complete a quest every 12 hours. If you’re already doing a quest for Jhudora, you will not be able to take a quest from Illusen because they are rivals. Completing a quest on Illusen Day will give you the Illusen Doll Avatar, which is available on March 17th.

Because you will not have a lot of time to complete her quests and because the items will get rarer the more you progress, you will be allowed to purchase items through the Shop Wizard to complete her quests. The time she will give you to complete one of her quests is really short. 16 minutes and 40 seconds will be given to you for each quest you take. If you fail at bringing the wanted item before and the time runs out, you will fall back to the first level. In addition, if you were on the High score table, your username will be removed from there.

After completing one of her quests, you will be able to proceed to the next level. There is a total of 50 levels. For the first levels, she will ask you for relatively cheap items that will be found on the Shop Wizard. The further you progress, the rarer the items she asks for will get. At some point, the items will be unbuyables and you will have to get them from other places, for example from the Trading Post, from auctions or from users you know they have them.

An item of rarity 99 will always be asked when you reach the high level of the quests. A good suggestion will be to make a heads up for other players that you will be looking for r99 items during a specific time so that you waste no time when asked for the item. Sometimes, the items she will ask you for will only be on the TP. It is recommended that you Neomail all of the users who have them there ASAP so that you can purchase them. You will have to haggle fast or not at all if you’re looking to finish her quest fast enough. Some other times you will even be asked for items that are too rare, that you will not find any on the TP. In that case, you can make a quick search in galleries trough the Shop Wizard and mail the most possible users to purchase their item, as soon as possible. Remember that you will only be given 16 minutes and 40 seconds to complete her quests.

Some of the items she will ask you during the first few levels can be no-trading, which means you will not be able to find them on the Shop Wizard or to purchase them from other users. These items are Neohome items and they can be found at the Neohomes Superstore. That store has an unlimited quantity of items and you will be able to purchase what you’re looking for in a manner of seconds.

Neopets Illusen’s Quests Prizes

Every time you complete a level, Illusen will give you a prize that is exclusive to her. The prizes will become better the more you progress simply because the items she will ask for will cost you millions of NP (if you find them). The list below will show you the range of rarity for each level, along with the prize you will be awarded with. When you see r#, it means that the item will be of x to y rarity. Note that the items can be anything that exist on Neopets.

Level 1: For the first level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r10 and r20. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Illusens Cream Cookie.

Level 3: For the third level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r15 and r25. Upon completion of that level, you will be given a Illusens Potion.

Level 5: For the fifth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r20 and r30. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Illusens Comb.

Level 8: For the eighth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r24 and r34. Upon completion of that level, you will be given a Cucumber Eye Cream.

Level 11: For the eleventh level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r42 and r55. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Illusens Novel.

Level 14: For the fourteenth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r55 and r63. Upon completion of that level, you will be given a Mud Mixture.

Level 17: For the seventeenth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r66 and r77. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be give a Flower Cake.

Level 20: For the twentieth level, the rarity range of the items you will have to bring will be between r76 and r82. Upon completion of that level, you will be given a Rain Water Shampoo.

Level 23: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r82 and r87. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be give a Rose Shake.

Level 26: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r85 and r87. Upon completion of that level, you will be given a Earth Spell Book.

Level 29: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r88 and r89. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Leaf Shield.

Level 32: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r90 and r95. Upon completion of that level, you will be given a Illusens Earth Potion.

Level 35: The rarity range of the items you will have to bring, during that level, will be between r94 and r99. Upon successful completion of that level, you will be given a Honey Potion.

Level 38: During that level, the item rarity will only be r99. Upon successful completion, you will be given a Illusens Scroll.

Level 41: During that level, the item rarity will only be r99. Upon successful completion, you will be given a Illusens Blade.

Level 44: During that level, the item rarity will only be r99. Upon successful completion, you will be given a Leaf Taco.

Level 47: During that level, the item rarity will only be r99. Upon successful completion, you will be given a Illusens Orb Plant.

Level 50: During that level, the item rarity will only be r99. Upon successful completion, you will be given a Illusens Staff.

Illusen Quest Scoring & Points

If you’re going after a high score to earn yourself a trophy, it is recommended that you know how the points work, so that you will know what to be to find yourself on the Illusen’s Glade High score table. Every time you successfully complete a quest for Illusen, you will be given 1,000 points. You can also get a maximum of 1,000 bonus points, which are based on the time it takes you to bring her the requested item. As you already know, you will be given 16 minutes and 40 seconds for every quest. That means 1,000 bonus points. For every second you lose when doing a quest, a bonus point will be deducted.

Neopets Illusens Quest Cheats

The high score table will reset at the beginning of the month. However, the scores are cumulative, that means you will not be able to receive a trophy after the first day of the month if you don’t start then. Failing a quest will result in being removed from the high score table. If you’re going after a trophy, you should start from level 1 at the beginning of the month and do the quest two times during the day, simply because you can complete on of her quests once every 12 hours. Waste the minimum amount of possible seconds when doing a quest, because you will not want someone else to get it done before you. Copy the URL of the Neohomes Superstore to quickly get there when Illusen asks you for a non-tradable item, that is very common in the first rounds. Also, make sure that enough people are online if you’re going after the famous Illusens Staff, simply because the quest items will be, on many occasions, very rare and not available on the TP.

Lastly, you can earn the Illusen’s Glade Avatar after you complete Illusen’s quest #20.

Neopets Esophagor Quests are missions that you will take from the Esophagor, located in the Haunted Woods, that is not really friendly. He is a slime monster that is very lazy, with a great appetite. For that reason, Neopets Esophagor Quests is where you will be asked to bring food to the Esophagor by clicking on the “Sure I will find you food” to successfully begin a quest. If you’re looking for a quest, you will not be allowed to have 60 items or more in stock. Thus, you may want to put some of them in your SDB using the quick stock option.

When you take a quest, you will be asked to bring between one and three Spooky Food items that can be low priced or high priced, depending on their rarity. Sometimes they will cost you as low as ~10 NP and some other times they will be in the 100k+ NP range. If he asks you for an expensive item, simply don’t do it. It is not worth it. A maximum of 10 Esophagor quests can be done during a single day.

Most people complete the Esophagor quest simply to get him as a Battledome Challenger. However, he will not give you an Avatar. His prizes will not be higher than r89 items.

Associate – Brain Tree

The Brain Tree is a spooky looking tree that is also located in the Haunted Woods. The Esophagor and the Brain Tree are associate because when you go to do a Brain Tree quest, you will be asked for information. The only way to get these information is by doing Esophagor quests. You can ask anyone on Neopets, no one will be able to provide an answer. You will have to complete a Esophagor quest to get the answer. As always, it will take more than one Esophagor quest to get a complete question asked by the Brain Tree. Two of them will be required, one of them to know the Date of Death of X, and another to get Y answer. The Brain Tree will also become a Battledome challenger when you complete its quests.

Neopets Esophagor Cheats

Since the Esophagor will not reward you with an expensive item, never do his quests if hes asking for a super rare item that is highly priced, or after unbuyables unless, of course, you’re ultra rich. If you decide to not complete one of his quests, however, you will have it to end by itself to start the next one. Same thing applies for the Brain Tree, it will not give you super rare items, so you should consider the amount of NP you’re going spend as a “loss”.

There is also a Bonus associated to quests, where you will be given a prize, the Tales of the Esophagor book, after successful completion of Edna, Esophagor and Brain Tree quests during a month.

When you get both of the challengers, the only reason you would be doing more quests is if you’re looking for the Brain Tree trophy, which is all based on your speed to give it the valid answer.
