Neopets Bruno’s Backwoods Breakaway

Neopets Bruno’s Backwoods Breakaway is a haunted game that takes place in the Haunted Woods where you will have to play as Bruno, who is a spooky Gelert from the Tale of Woe, if you have ever played this plot. Your main job in this game is to collect potions and to be able, alive, to bring them back to Sophie. Neopets Bruno’s Backwoods Breakaway will make you face different angry Neovians that can be looked at as enemies because they will take a life from you if you touch them.

c-734-1972586How to Play Neopets Bruno’s Backwoods Breakaway

First of all, you should know that a maximum score of 5180 can be obtained if you are able to master it and do it in the perfect possible way. Later, you will be able to use our guides to help you achieve that score if you’re aiming for a trophy or a super high score. Fortunately, this score is enough for you to get a gold trophy, if you’re on the top 100 on the high score table.

During the game, you will have to face enemies that you will harm you and take a life from you. The enemies can be an Ixi, a Wocky, some of them are Kacheeks and lastly, Techos. Below is a short description for each of these enemies to help you identify them in the best possibly way.

The Ixi is not very hard to avoid, because it will almost never jump. It will only be walking between a set of two potions and will make your job harder. Simply avoid it, it is not very mean.

The Wocky is a tall yellow “spaghetti” that can be easily located because it is tall. He will throw rocks at you, almost always, but he will remain on the platform he is currently on. Because he is tall, sometimes you will have a hard time jumping past him (but it will get easier the more you play).

The Kacheek will also throw rocks at you, but he has the ability to leave the platforms. The Kacheek looks like a green monkey. Sometimes you will think that you are safe, but he will suddenly fall from the higher platform that he starts on. For that reason, you will have to watch out for this little guy.

Lastly, the Techo will act the same way as the Kacheek, previously mentioned. He will be able to throw rocks at you and leave the platforms (he can jump just like the Kacheek). If you meet on of those, try to avoid them and find the potions further to avoid losing a life.

Bruno Backwoods Controls

To control Bruno, you will have to use the left button key and the right one that are located on your keyboard. These will make Bruno move, respectively, to the left and to the right. If you press the up arrow key, Bruno will jump and by pressing the down keys, he will be able to look up (so you will be able to see if there is a treat on the upper platforms). If you press the P key, you will be able to pause the game to take a small break, etc. If you get hit by a rock or if you touch an enemy, you will immediately lose a life.

There will be also living trees that start appearing from the 3rd level and so on. If you are near them, you will be able to jump on their branches by using the space bar. Always watch out for rocks, though, because you are never safe.

Advice

While playing Neopets Bruno’s Backwoods Breakaway, it is a fundamental aspect to not run quickly. You will have to move slowly, as it is the best way to keep all of your lives (if you’re going after the maximum score of 5180). Some enemies will throw rocks at you and it will not be too hard if you move slowly. Also, in the latter levels they will be harder to escape, but stay slow and everything will be fine for you.

Score & Points

A maximum score of 5180 can be obtained through the game, but for that, you will have to collect all of the potions, on all of the levels, and to bring them all at the same time to the cave, meaning that you will have to do it all at once. Fortunately, you will not have to keep all of your lives if you want to achieve this score, but it is important to not bring the potions separately. If you do so, you will get 5 total points for the first one you bring to the cave, 10 for the second, 25 for the third, 50 points for the fourth which will total 100 points. If you bring all of the potions but one, a total of 90 points will be awarded and 5 for the last one because it will be counted as the first one. Don’t forget that all of the potions will have to be brought at the same time, to the cave, for the maximum amount of points.

Below there will be a small guide that will describe each of the levels, along with the number of potions needed and the maximum score you will be able to get from the round. If you’re going after the 5,180 score, it is recommended that you get the exact same score written below, otherwise you will not receive all of these.

For the first level, the Backwoods, you will have to bring a total of 5 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 190 points for the current level.

For the second level, Haunted Hunt, you will have to bring a total of 5 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 380 points for the current level.

For the third level, the Amazing Maze, you will have to bring a total of 5 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 570 points for the current level. On that level, the Kacheek will start appearing.

For the fourth level, the Hide-n-Seek, you will have to bring a total of 6 poitons to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 860 points for the current level.

For the fifth level, the Gauntlet, you will have to bring a total of 6 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 1150 points. On that level, Techos will start appearing.

For the sixth level, Treetop Terror, you will have to bring a total of 7 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 1540 points.

For the seventh level, the Neovian Nightmare, you will have to bring a total of 8 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 2030 points.

For the eighth level, the Point of No Return, you will have to bring a total of 9 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 2620 points.

For the ninth level, the Corridor Chaos, you will have to bring a total of 9 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 3210 points.

For the tenth level, the Platform Panic, you will have to bring a total of 10 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 3900 points.

For the eleventh level, The Tunnels, you will have to bring a total of 10 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring them all at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 4590 points. On that level, there is not a single Kacheek, nor a single Techo.

For the twelfth level, the Chamber of Horrors, you will have to bring a total of 9 potions to the cave. If you manage to bring all of them at the same time, you will be given a maximum score number of 5180, which is the absolute maximum.

Note: on level 8, there will be a completely hidden potion that will not be available for you to reach if you don’t follow these instructions: Drop all the way from the left ledge and press the Bruno on the wall so that he can stand inside of it. After that repeat until you get it done. If you fail, simply try again, it is simple.

Neopets Bruno’s Backwoods Breakaway Strategy & Cheats

Always try to avoid rocks and never come directly towards your enemies. You will want to keep a short distance, at least, so that you don’t lose a life. If there is a potion you want, but you feel that you are in an uncomfortable position, simply don’t grab it. Instead, drop down and go through another path all the way to it, again. You will want to move slowly but surely, because this game is known to scare people simply because enemies will almost “pop” out of no where. Stay careful. If you’re going after the 5180 points score, which is the highest possible, you will have to bring all of the potions at the cave, at once (not separately). High score tables are always reset at the first day of the month, but usually there is not that many people in the top 100 and you will be able to get a spot there, along with a shiny trophy if you manage to do so. Good luck and have fun!

Neopets Bouncy Supreme

Neopets Bouncy Supreme is a very fun game that will give you the opportunity to take a visit to the Jelly World, as a Jelly Blumaroo that will be hopping on jelly pillars. Unfortunately, these hills are located on volcano that contain jelly laval, and if you fail at jumping on them you will lose a life. Neopets Bouncy Supreme is a good game that will help you become more precise with angle and shooting, and this game is the perfect one for you simply because it will require some brain strength.

Neopets Bouncy Supreme

Bouncy Supreme Gameplay

During the game of Neopets Bouncy Supreme, you will have to mainly use your mouse to control the traject that will be made by your jelly Blumaroo. You will have to be a guide for him, thus making the right decisions (by choosing the perfect angle) so that he can jump safely to the next pillar. Fortunately, your Jelly Blum will not be able to slide, so that even if you made him successfully get at the very corner of the pillar, he will be safe. Once you hit star to begin the game, a total of 60 seconds will be available for you that can be found on the timer (clock) at the bottom of the screen. This time represents how long you can still play the game until the red pterodactyl catches you.

Every time you make a jump that is a success, you will be given a total of 3 additional seconds. By grabbing all the coins that are on your path will give you a bonus of 2 extra seconds. The game will never end until you will lose all of your lives or if the pterodactyl catches you. This game is mostly based about skills. If you’re going after a super high score or after a trophy, you will be able to take them at any time you wish during the month if you think that you have the skills. Because there is almost no luck involved in the game, it is also a good choice if you would like to train.

Bouncy Supreme Neopets

Bouncy Supreme Control & Points

During the game, your main friend is the cursor of your mouse that will be shown in the game (on the game screen) with a white little circle. This one is directly connected to your Jelly Blumaroo and it will give him different angles the higher or the lower you place your mouse. The higher it is, the higher your blumaroo will jump and the opposite way around the lower it is.

You will be given points upon successfully arriving to the next pillar, and upon grabbing coins. The coins, each of them, will be worth a total of 2 points (depends on its color) and it will usually appear in a set of 5 coins. The total number of points that will be awarded upon successfully going to the next pillar will depend on the jumping distance. A longer jump will result in you, getting more points. That means, it is more beneficial for you to jump at the end edge corner than to jump at the first edge corner, simply because you will be given more points. Also, some people prefer to ignore coins and keep going their way while jumping on the pillars, which is a good option because you will become faster and earn, possibly, points the “faster” way.

Neopets Bouncy Supreme Cheats & Strategy

During the first three jumps of the game, you  will be given dots that will show you the angle that your Jelly Blumaroo will take. After that, it is no longer available for you so that you will have to decide by your own. At first, it will take you some time to get into it but it is really about training. A good advice would be to ignore the angles and just go by what your mind tells you, and with time, you will get better. Of course, slowly but surely.

Bouncy Supreme

Alternatively, as previously said, you can focus on getting successful jumps and not really care about the coins. Yes, they give extra points and time, but if you are good at jumping, you will be able to do it within less than 2 seconds and many coins will be grabbed without you, aiming at them in the first place. From there, you can continue and earn the most points you can. Because this game has no limits, this method is really recommended. Good luck avoiding the Jelly lava!

Neopets Chemistry For Beginners Guide

Neopets Chemistry For Beginners invites you into the lab of a crazy Ixi scientist, tucked away in a dark Haunted Woods dungeon.  The Ixi scientist practices some… unique chemistry that you won’t find in your everyday science textbook.  Chemistry for Beginners is a puzzle game involving the synthesis of novel Neopian compounds that can be cashed in for game points.  Do you have what it takes to make it through all the levels of the mad scientist’s game?

Chemistry For Beginners

How To Play Chemistry For Beginners

The game board is set up in a grid formation.  You are presented with individual atoms one at a time and you may place the atom anywhere on the grid.  Placing an atom adjacent to an existing one will form a bond if the combination makes an existing compound and the compound disappears from the screen, earning you game points.  A list of possible atom combinations are displayed for you to the right of the game board for your reference.  Hovering your mouse over the compound will display the amount of points that it is worth.

You must reach a certain score to beat the current level and advance to the next.  As you progress through the game, new compounds are discovered and you are given more atoms and possible combinations to work with.  However, you have to play smarter as well, as the scores demanded to advance in the game also become more challenging.

But be careful!  You can’t just throw any combination of atoms together! (That’s how lab accidents happen!)  There are certain atom combinations that are unstable, and if you accidentally synthesize one of these compounds, you will lose the game!  Additionally, if you run out of atoms before you have reached the score needed to advance, it’s game over!

Chemistry For Beginners

Chemistry For Beginners Atoms and Compounds

There are five atoms in Chemistry for Beginners: Neopium (Np; green), Tyrannium (Ty; blue), Slothite (Sl; red), Faeryllium (Fae; gold) and Krawkite (Kr; silver).  You will begin the game with only Neopium, and the others are introduced throughout the game.  Tyrannium appears in level 2, Slothite is unlocked in level 6, Faeryllium makes its debut in level 10 and Krawkite is finally revealed in level 14.  Below are all of  the compounds that will earn you points (and the ones that will blow up your lab!):

Compound Point Value Level Unlocked
Np-Np 1 1
Np-Ty-Np 2 2
Ty-Ty-Ty 2 3
Ty-Ty-Ty-Ty-Ty 4 5
Np-Sl-Sl-Np 4 6
Np-Ty-Np-Ty-Np 6 8
Np-Fae-Fae-Fae-Np 7 10
Sl-Sl-Sl-Sl-Sl-Sl-Sl 10 13
Kr-Kr 1 14
Sl-Kr-Sl-Kr-Sl-Kr 10 16
Sl-Sl-Sl-Sl UNSTABLE 7
Fae-Kr UNSTABLE 18

Chemistry For Beginners Cheats and Tips

  • Always go for the compounds worth more points rather than going for the quick, easy points.  Once you unlock the ten point Slothite compound, always try to go for this one.
  • Be careful building the ten point Slothite chain!  If you chain four Slothites together, you lose! When building, you must create two chains of three and then link them with the seventh Slothite to make the final compound.
  • Clearing the board gives you a 5 point bonus (which makes all the difference if you are going for a trophy!).  Keep an eye on the upcoming atoms and see if you can plan ahead to clear the board.

239_1-5339799239_2-3764696239_3-5881766

  • You will receive one bonus point for each atom that is not used when beating a level, so find a good balance between cashing in big compounds and earning bonus points.
  • The order of atoms that you are presented with in the first fourteen levels will be the same every time you play the game!  That means that once you have found the sequence in which to play your atoms to maximize your level score, you can continue to use this sequence each time you play! Pro tip: there are some good petpages out there that have walkthroughs for each level!

Chemistry For Beginners

Well, you are ready to make some crazy science!  All the best to you… and try not to blow anything up!

Neopets Adventure Generator

Neopets Adventure Generator is a game where it will list a complete set of Neoadventures for you to progress in, and it will also give you the ability to browse these adventures by some of the easiest ways, meaning by categories, or by usernames. There will be a top 40 reserved for the top 40 highest rated Neoadventures that will be played by Neopians. Neopets Adventure Generator will also give you the opportunity to browse in a category to locate a test or even a quiz for you to complete.

Adventure Generator Information

During the Neopets Adventure Generator, you will be able to browse adventure and be able to see a list where there will be written the title and the creator of it. There will also be many descriptions for each and every adventure. You will be able to click on the Info range to see the creator’s user lookup. This way, you will be able to directly Neomail them if you have any questions or concerns about their adventure. Another range will be offered for you to click, it is the Rating one. This will tell you, to give you more information about other people who have participated in the adventure and are well positioned to tell you what they think about it (if it was easy, hard, boring, relaxing, nice, interesting, etc), rating it on a scale of one to five. There will be also a range called Category, which will give you information about the type of the adventure that you will be facing next. A last range is offered to you, which is the Pages. This one will give you information about the number of pages that were needed in order to creator the specific adventure you’re planning to participate on. It will also tell you the amount of time it will take, but it is not really a necessary information.

During the Neopets Adventure Generator, you will encounter different lengths of adventures. For example, you will be facing long adventures, but it does not mean they’re necessarily good for your advantage, or not. The Test and Quiz section is where you will enjoy long adventures the most simply because they will give you a higher quiz quality for you to complete, thus more questions and results. Of course, there are also short quiz but don’t start thinking they’re bad or whatever.

Adventure Generator

Adventure Generator Gameplay

When you start the Neopets Adventure Generator, you will be given a black window with green sentences on it. You will be presented with a short guide on how to play. This can be considered as an introductory page that will explain to you the instructions of the quiz, depending on the battle and on the setting for the specific story. After this dialogue, your adventure will begin, so you will have to get ready.

There will be from one to four options on every page of the screen. These pages will indicate what you will have to do for each link that will change your current location to another page of the adventure (that will be depended of the adventure you first picked). The adventures will be taking you to the next steps, after that.

Whenever the adventure is completely finished, you will have the opportunity (and you’re really considered) to give the creator a heads up that you’ve done their adventure and that you think x thing, and y thing. You can also Neomail them to let them know what you preferred or like the least, so that they can maybe change it in the future and get working on it. If there were technical difficulties during the Neopets Adventure Generator, you should also Neomail the creator and give a full and detailed explanation about what has exactly happened, etc. You will be able to rate it on a scale of 1 to 5. 5 is the best. Do not rate the games based on how well you’ve played the game. If you’re not good enough, it is not a reason to give them a 1. If you’ve found it easy, it is also not a reason to give them a 5. Look at the game performance and if it is missing something. If you think that “it is the perfect adventure”, then go ahead and give them a 5.

Making The Adventure

You’ve probably played a lot of adventures and had so much fun that you’ve decided to come up with your own. No problem, you will be able to do so by clicking on the button Create Your Own Adventure. Once this is done, you will see a page called Creating your Neoadventure. When you see this page, it means that you will have to name the Adventure a name you’d like. After that, you will have to proceed to the idea of the story. If you’re really stuck on what it will be able, there will be a Generate button for you to click, and it will give you random titles and inspiration for your own advantage. If you’re really hard minded and would like to create the game yourself, then don’t create on generate. Simply wait until a good story comes flying past your head!

After that, you will have to decide the color scheme of the adventure you have chosen, to use on. There will be a background color for you to pick, and there will also be the font color for the text on the specific page. Another color will be for the title, which is located at the top. A link color is on the bottom and the border color is directly under the title bar for you to use between the pictures.

When the color picking is done, you can now think of whether or not you would like to make page numbers. That means you will be able to think on your own and decide if you’re going to tell other neopian participants if they are on the page of your Neoadventure, currently.

How to Edit Adventure in Generator

Of course, you will sometimes make mistakes or change your mind and you will want to know how to edit your adventure in order to make it better (or worse). You would maybe want to make it more fair or even more challenging, all that is up to you. If you’re looking to edit it, simply click on the button that is located on the Neopets Adventure Generator page and it will get you back to the editing section.

When your Neoadventure is ready, you will be given the opportunity to create the first page of yours. To do that, simply type in a text for the page of your choice and that’s it. You will also be given the opportunity to add extra stuff to the page of your choice.

Pictures

Yes, you will be able to add pictures to make the adventure more and more exciting. It is recommended that you actually use this feature for all of your pages, simply because the pictures will give your sentences a “life”. It has been scientifically proved that plain texts will make people lose interest, three times more than if the text contain pictures. Also, the pictures will be easy to add compared to choosing a title, which is what you have done at the beginning. Note that the picture you will be providing will have to come from Neopets.com site or from the images.neopets.com. Don’t get mad, though, because there is a large variety of pictures for you to choose from. There are many that you will even be flooded with. You will find pets, items, etc.

Whenever you have picked the picture(s) you want, click on them with the right button of your mouse and copy to url. If you have a Mac, simply press on CTRL then click. After that, you will want to go to Add a page to be able to paste the link in the space you will see there. Then, you will have to make sure that you have successfully deleted the part that will always show near the bar. The reason behind that is that the URL will be there and it will be put there twice if you do not remove it. It is not a big deal, though, but it is better to remove it to assure a clean and smooth action.

Note that teh pictures are currently broken for now until TNT fixes the problem. The URL will be broken when you will try to put in. Simply report them to TNT so that they can look further into it.

Exits

Of course, an adventure always has an exit, otherwise you will never be able to go to a different place. It is possible to add exists, but you will have to create more pages. When this is done, you will be able to edit the pages so that you can make a network of exits that will make the story better in a way.

Exits are actually a really important factor of the game because they will serve a lot of functions during the levels, and they will even take the hero of yours to the next step during the Neoadventure. Multiple exits can be found during an adventure and the player will be able to choose the destiny of their choice, for the specific story. As an example, if a hero is going to the edge, on x location, and that his enemy is chasing him. You will be able to give him these exists so that he can get a chance to survive. This is a very important and fundamental part of the game simply because it does really determine the easiness or the hardness of an adventure.

Each page can have a total of four exists. There will be lines where you will be able to type on it the text of your choice and the answer for it (what the hero will do next, for example). When all of your exits are successfully created, your achievement will be ready.

Adventure Generator

Ends

Note that every adventure will have to end the adventure, because it is impossible for a Neoadventure to be unlimited. To do that, you will have to add Dead Ends and Finish Lines. A dead End is a adventure where your hero will have died or he has failed because a monster was successfully able to chase him. A Finish Line is where the hero of the adventure is successfully saved because he has succeeded in his task to kill the dragon, do x job, etc. If you still don’t know what both stand for, consider that the Dead Ends are “bad endings” and that the Finish Lines are “good endings”.

Editing

There will be a Master List accessible for you so that you can decide whether to want to create a Neoadventure, if you would like to edit or delete it. It is really recommended in case you have came back with different ideas, etc. There will also be a title with an interrogative mark that you will see everywhere coming up. Use it for your own advantage, as it will give you more information about the current task you are working on. TNT’s instructions have also been very helpful, so it may be a good choice to click on them for your own purpose.

If you would like to edit a page, or to delete it, all you will have to do is to click on the button (located on the line near the page). The first page, however, will not be able to be delete. You will only be able to edit it if you’re not happy with it.

Remember that if you’re looking to create a page, you will have to click on the Add a Page link that will be located at the top of the page. From there you will be able to think on a title, and on your adventure. If you’re not happy with it, with the title, or with anything else, simply edit. You will be able to edit as many times as you want, and don’t forget to use pictures to make the adventures more interesting.

Neopets Scamander Swarm

Neopets Scamander Swarm is one of the few Neopets games that is entirely based on luck. Located in the Lost Desert, you must bet on which door the Red Scamander will go into during the Neopets Scamander Swarm game. There are no trophies, only small Neopoint winnings, so Neopets Scamander Swarm is just for fun really!

Scamander Swarm

Scamander Swarm Game Play

Throughout each of the five rounds of Scamander Swarm you are presented with a number of doors surrounding a Lost Desert courtyard. The aim of the game is to successfully guess which door the special Red Scamander will go into, regardless of the yellow ones. Each door is marked with a number, and you start the first level with just two doors, the second with three, the third with four and so on.

To start a new game, you must pay 25 neopoints and select which door you wish to bet on. In each successive round, if the special Red Scamander picks you door you can move onto the next level, but if it does not then you have to restart the game, similarly to Kiss the Mortog or Double or Nothing in Meridell. Once you have selected the door, a swarm of Scamanders appears and starts running around the courtyard. Most of them are yellow, but you want to keep an eye on the special Red Scamander, as this is the one that counts.

Scamander Swarm

Neopoints, Points and Scoring

As mentioned, to start each game costs 25 neopoints to the player. By winning level one, your wager is doubled x2 to make the wager for level 2, 50np. However, after this each new level’s win the previous level’s multiplier and then +1. For example, level three is x2(+1), so x3 of the previous. Your new winnings becomes 150, from 50 points. Below is a graph to illustrate this:

Level 1 25np
Level 2 x2 = (usually 50np)
Level 3 x3 = (usually 150np)
Level 4 x4 = (usually 600np)
Level 5 x5 = (usually 3,000np)

However this is not definitive, as you can also earn extra points by the special Red Scamander eating a Tchea fruit throughout the level. Each round has a few spread out across the level. Only the Red Scamander eating one will add to the bonus. The bonus is an extra 50nps added to the wager. In theory, if the Red Scamander eats all 4 Tchea Fruit on all 5 levels, your maximum neopoints earned could be over 40,000nps – but this is extremely rare. In most cases, the Red Scamander will not even eat one Tchea Fruit.

Scamander Swarm

Neopets Scamander Swarm Cheats

  • By clicking the corner of the eye on the top left hand Scamander on the title page you can make TPOSG (The Phantom Orange Shirt Guy, aka Ollie) appear at the bottom, covered in Scamanders. This doesn’t help your game, but like all games worked on by The Phantom Orange Shirt Guy, is a nice Easter Egg.
  • It is rumoured that by clicking ‘Door 1’ on the first level, there is an above average chance of getting it correct. This only works for level 1 however.
  • The trick to this game, just like Guess the Mortog and Double or Nothing only without the trophy, is to know when to stop. Before you start have a sense of how much Neopoints you want to earn, and then quit whilst you’re ahead at that point. Because remember, each loss sets you back to the beginning. For reference, here are your chances of winning each level:
Level Chances
1 50%
2 33%
3 25%
4 20%
5 16%
