Neopets Zurroball is a game of gravity and ferocious clicking, where you must keep a ball in the air for as long as possible. Zurroball is an unforgiving game which is notoriously difficult to master, but once you’ve got the hang of it it’s a whole lot of fun! What’s more, with a bit of practice Zurroball’s trophies are fairly easy to obtain when compared to other flash games.

Zurroball Instructions

In each game of Zurroball, you have to stop your chosen ball from hitting the ground by clicking on it as gravity takes its hold and it descends. Every time you play, you are given three attempts to get the highest score possible. Once you’ve used all three lives, the game is over. To build your score quickly, you can pull off a series of tricks to earn extra points. Tricks are an essential part of the game if you want to be earning a healthy amount of Neopoints!

Zurroball Balls

There are a total of six different balls you can play with, and each has unique qualities that changes how the ball behaves. There are three different attributes that each ball possesses, they are: size, weight, and speed. The size of the ball determines how easy it is to click on it as it falls (the smaller the size, the more difficult it is to click accurately). Meanwhile, the weight of the ball determines how it reacts to gravity. A heavy ball will not rise as high as a light ball when it’s clicked. Speed is fairly self-explanatory: faster balls whizz around the screen, while slower balls are easier to keep track of.

The default option is the Zurroball, a brown meteor which is big, heavy and slow. It’s a great ball to start out with and get to grips with the game, but its speed means it takes longer to rack up a high score.

As well as the Zurroball, there are five experimental balls you can choose to play with. The snot ball behaves a lot like the Zurroball, but it’s smaller and therefore harder to click on and keep in play. The metal ball hits a nice middle ground between the size of the first two options, and its incredibly slow speed makes it very easy to keep track of – but difficult to score points with quickly.

The energy ball is probably the most difficult to play with, as it’s the smallest in size, very lightweight and zips around at great speeds. The eye ball is similar in speed and weight to the energy ball, but its slightly bigger size typically makes it easier to play with.

Finally, there’s the Grundo Ball – a hidden option that you won’t find on the list of the title screen. To be able to play with the Grundo Ball, click on the blue “N” badge on the Grundo’s space suit. This option strikes a great balance between the size of the Zurroball, and the light, speedy nature of the energy ball. It’s a great option to use if you’re still getting used to the game, but want to be able to string together plenty of tricks quickly.

There are pros and cons to each ball, so spend a few games experimenting with each of them until you find one that suits you best.

Zurroball Tricks

There are four different tricks you can pull off to maximize your points total. Some of them are more difficult to perform than others, and award more points accordingly.

The Right Zurro will earn you 3 points, and is achieved by bouncing your Zurroball off the right wall.

The Left Zurro is a lot like the Right Zurro, except guess what? You earn your 3 points by bouncing the Zurroball off the left wall instead.

You can perform a Boomerang by bouncing the Zurroball off one wall, before clicking on it once to make it bounce off the opposite wall. This will earn you 5 points.

If you can get the Zurroball to bounce off both walls WITHOUT clicking on it in between, you will earn 10 points for pulling off an Around the World.

Finally, a Grounder can be achieved by clicking on the ball to bounce it just as it’s about to hit the ground. This will also bag you 10 points.

In order for points from your bounces (and tricks) to count, the Zurroball must cross the threshold, indicated by two red lines at the top of the screen. If the ball doesn’t cross this threshold before it hits the floor, you won’t earn any points earned since it last hit it.

Zurroball Cheats

In order to earn a lot of points without putting in too much effort, follow these tips and tricks and you should do just fine:

• Always play the game in full screen mode. This will make everything (and crucially, the Zurroball) much bigger, but your cursor will stay the same size, making it easier to land a bounce.
• If you get your cursor perfectly lined up with the center of the Zurroball, it will bounce straight. This way, you don’t have to worry about moving your mouse around, and you can just focus on timing your clicks to land lots of bounces!
• At the bottom of the screen is an open hatch with a grey border. If you keep your mouse in line with the ball’s center, and just above the lowest point of this border, you can land plenty of Grounders and string lots of tricks together!

Neopets Bilge Dice can be a frustrating game, because it’s almost entirely based on luck! In fact, most Neopians only play Bilge Dice to try and get the two avatars you can win from it: ‘Bilge Dice’ and ‘Bilge Dice – Lucky Streak!’. Despite its unpredictable nature, Bilge Dice is a relatively easy game to understand, and once you know the nuances of playing you can maximize your chances of landing those elusive avatars – as well as making Neopoints!

Bilge Dice – Instructions

At the beginning of each round of Bilge Dice, you must select your ante (the amount of NP you wish to bet). When you first begin, you’ll be limited to 10 NP or 50 NP. The more Neopoints you bet, the more you’ll receive if you win. If, like many, you’re only playing to try and get the avatars, you should bet as little as possible, or else your total investment will stack up surprisingly quickly.

Once you’ve placed your stake, you’ll be taken to the game screen, where you’ll be presented with six die. During each game, you have to compete with your opponents Monty, Grimtooth, and Deadeye to achieve the highest score possible. Your score is the total value of your four die. That’s right, four. In order to qualify for each game, you also have to keep a dice with the value of 1, and another with the value of 4. Neither of these count towards your score’s total, but are required to have your score counted. If you don’t finish the game with those two qualifying numbers, you can’t play.

In each round, you have to select a minimum of one die to keep before you can re-roll the remaining ones. You can choose to keep more than one die in any one round, but you must select at least one. Once you’ve selected the die you’re keeping, all those that are left will be rolled again and a new round will begin. When you have ‘kept’ all six of your die, the scores are added up and a winner is declared. The winner is the player with both qualifying die who has the highest total score.

If you’re aiming to get the ‘Bilge Dice’ avatar, you need to achieve a perfect score of 24. That’s the two qualifying die, plus four different die with a value of 6. The avatar is awarded randomly when you manage this.

Bilge Dice Cheats

Unfortunately, there aren’t any cheats or surefire ways to win a game of Bilge Dice. However, there are a few tips you can follow to maximize your chances of winning.

• Don’t just focus on getting a perfect score – the qualifying die are the most important part of the game. It doesn’t matter if you manage to keep four 6s if you don’t qualify! Always aim to secure a 1 or a 4 as early as possible.
• Of course, sometimes luck just isn’t on your side and you don’t roll either of the qualifying die in the first round. If this happens, keep the highest value die you have rolled. So if you roll 2, 2, 5, 2, 3, 5, keep one of the 5s and re-roll the other die.
• Don’t worry if you only get one 6 in the whole game, it’s still very possible that you will win, as long as you achieve a higher total than your opponents.
• Pay attention to your opponents’ hands, and adjust your strategy accordingly. For example, if the others are keeping lots of 2s, you can win the round with a string of 4s. If you already have your qualifying die, it’s better to win the game with a middling hand than keep rolling in the hopes of a perfect round – only to end up with a bunch of 1s.

Bilge Dice – Winnings and Ante Thresholds

Each player bets the same ante in every game, and the winner claims everyone’s stakes – so you quadruple your Neopoints if you win. For example, if you bet 10 NP and win, you’ll get a total of 40 NP back. A winning game with a 50 NP ante will return 200 NP. If you’re lucky enough, you will randomly be awarded a bonus 1000 NP when you collect your winnings. However, this is just as rare at the ‘Bilge Dice’ avatar, so don’t hold out hope for it.

It’s fair to say that Bilge Dice is a relatively low-earner in comparison to other revenue streams, but as you win more games, more ante amounts become available to you. When you first start playing, you’ll be able to stake the default 10 NP or 50 NP bets, but you can unlock other options by doing the following:

• 100 NP Ante (400 NP winnings): Win ten games of Bilge Dice
• 200 NP Ante (800 NP winnings): Win four games of Bilge Dice in a row
• 500 NP Ante (2,000 NP winnings): Win fifty games of Bilge Dice
• 1,000 NP Ante (4,000 NP winnings): Win one hundred and fifty games of Bilge Dice

These wins aren’t time sensitive, so you can win seven games in January and another three in August, and you’ll still unlock the 100 NP ante.

Winning 4,000 NP per game is a much more attractive proposition than 200 NP, isn’t it? Well, unfortunately, even when you bet the highest ante amount you still won’t be banking too many Neopoints from Bilge Dice, as you’re capped at 5,000 NP winnings per day. You can carry on playing once you’ve reached this limit, but you’ll be losing the money you stake each game. There is one way to circumvent this cap though: you’ll still receive all your winnings until you hit that point. For example, if you’ve won two 500 NP ante games and one 200 NP game (giving you a total of 4,800 NP in winnings), you can still earn 4,000 NP from a 1,000 NP ante game. This method would give you 8,800 NP in winnings – taking you comfortably past that threshold.

Bilge Dice Avatar

As mentioned above, the Bilge Dice avatar is awarded randomly when you win a game with a perfect score (1 and 4 to qualify, then 6, 6, 6, and 6). To get the perfect score, focus on the qualifying die first. If you roll 2, 6, 6, 3, 6, 6, don’t keep all of the 6s, because this is going to require you to roll one of the qualifying numbers in the next round, and the other in the final round. Should you receive a hand like this, keep one or two of the 6s and re-roll until you have both 1 and 4. It can be disheartening to abandon a perfect score, but not as disheartening as it is to achieve the elusive 24 but not even qualify!

Instead, focus on getting the Bilge Dice – Lucky Streak! avatar. You can achieve this avatar by winning ten games in a row – and all in the same calendar month. Yes, you read that correctly! This avatar is incredibly difficult to obtain, and requires a massive amount of luck. But if you focus on getting that ten win streak, you’re sure to pick up plenty of perfect scores along the way. Always aim to qualify, and once you have get the highest score you can. You’ll land both avatars eventually!

Bilge Dice Trophy

Unlike most games on Neopets, Bilge Dice awards two sets of trophies! The first set are awarded to the players with the highest win streak, the other ones are given to those with the highest amount of earnings from the game. To give you the greatest chance of winning the second set, aim for 8,880 NP in winnings a day (one game with a 1,000 NP ante, then two games with a 10 NP ante, before a final 1,000 NP ante – or any other combination).

Rink Runner is one of Neopets’ oldest games, and though the art style’s a little funky, it’s great fun and can be a very lucrative way to earn Neopoints quickly once you get the hang of it. When you start a game of Rink Runner, you take control of a cheery little Bruce who skates around an ice rink to try and impress three judges. Using your mouse to control him, you need to collect as many musical notes as possible in the fewest amount of “jumps” you can. Easy, right? But of course, it’s not quite as simple as that.

Each note will change colors the longer they are on the rink (black, green, blue, orange, then red), and eventually disappear. There are 30 notes available in each level, and each one is worth 1 precious point. While it’s important to grab as many notes as possible, make sure you avoid the sharps (notes that look like a hashtag) and flats (the ones that look like a lowercase b) as they will subtract 2 from your points total. At the end of each level, you must meet the minimum score requirement to be able to continue. Naturally, the difficultly increases with each level.

Rink Runner – Level Guide

Level 1
Level 1 is a walk in the park. It’s just you, the ice, and that sweet, sweet melody. You’ll only have one or two flats or sharps to avoid, and the notes won’t disappear at all. The amount of jumps you make won’t make a difference either.
Minimum score requirement: None (though you should get all 30!)
Level 2
Here’s where things get interesting. Not only do the notes disappear and your jump frequency has a bearing on your score, but holes start appearing in the ice (seriously, what kind of competition venue is this? The groundskeepers should all be fired…)! The level’s still fairly straightforward though – it’s fine to skate across the holes, just don’t stop on them.
Minimum score requirement: 21
Level 3
The first really challenging level. The holes get bigger as time goes on, but are still relatively easy to avoid. Just don’t click on the blue sections and you’ll be fine. Skate between the four circles or the edge of the rink, and try to catch multiple notes in each jump.
Minimum score requirement: 22
Level 4
The edge of the rink melts away, leaving you with just the four circles to land on. Once the perimeter has completely disappeared, the circles will slowly start to float around the rink. Make sure you keep track of their path and the speeds they’re travelling at, because you don’t want to click on an ice patch only for it to move mid-jump and leave you in the water! After a few tries, you should get pretty good at following the circle’s travels and get through the level without too much difficulty.
Minimum score requirement: 23
Level 5
This is the first level where the ice circles will start floating around from the very start, but other than that just use the same strategy as before.
Minimum score requirement: 24
Level 6+
Every subsequent level is essentially the same as level 5, except the minimum score requirement increases by 1 from the stage before it. From level 10 onwards, the requirement is capped at 30 (catch all the notes, without getting a single flat or sharp).

Rink Runner Trophy

If you’re aiming to pick up a shiny trophy for your lookup, you’re going to want to get to at least level 10 to be sure of silverware. Also make sure you follow all of the tips and tricks below to maximise your score from the judges.

Rink Runner – Point Predator

If you just want to get the 1,000 NP cap, play until the end of level 4. One point is worth 10 NP, so you need a score of 100 to max out on Neopoints.

Rink Runner Cheats

• Avoid the very edge of the rink, as this is where most notes materialize and it can be all too easy to accidentally pick up a flat or sharp note without even noticing it’s there!
• To get the highest possible total from the judges, you want to make sure your note to jump ratio is as high as possible. Don’t skate short distances, try and cover as much ground as possible with each click. Also try timing your jump so you catch multiple notes as they travel across your path.
• Once the holes starts appearing, don’t skate too close to the edge of the ice patches. Sometimes, Rink Runner can be a bit unforgiving with your proximity to the holes. When the circles start moving, it’s also possible you’ll end up in the water if you aim for their edges and they move away.
