Neopets Edna’s Shadow

Neopets Edna’s Shadow is a Neopian twist on the classic item gathering-enemy avoiding game genre. With an experiment gone bad, Edna was separated from her shadow, but together, the two of them must collect ingredients to make a potion to unite the two once again. However, can both Edna and her shadow avoiding the petpets that skitter and scamper throughout the Haunted Woods, or will it drive you batty trying to accomplish this feat? We do not apologize for that pun, and if anything, we apologize for not having more funs throughout this site. Without further ado, let’s dive into Edna’s Shadow!

Edna's Shadow

Edna’s Shadow Basics

The usual control mechanics are applied in this setting as well. The up arrow key and the down arrow key move both Edna and her shadow in the respective directions of up and down. However, with the left arrow key and the right arrow key, this is where things get a bit more complicated. For Edna, the for mentioned arrow keys will move her left and right, respectively. However, for her shadow, the left arrow key will move her in the right direction, while the right arrow key will move her in the left direction. It’s a bit odd at first, but after a few levels of gameplay, it’s become second nature to controlling both of the characters.

The goal of the game is to gather each item within the game, while avoiding enemies that move around. There are no items that will harm either of your characters, so don’t be afraid to touch random objects in the game. A good rule of thumb is that anything that is stationary, and doesn’t move ever, you need to get to complete the level. While some enemies might stop moving, if it ever scampered, skittered, or slithered during game play, it’s best to avoid it. However, spikes, bones, and frozen spiders are all fair game! Once the shadow and Edna collect the items they need, it’s time to meet at the red cauldron! Both Edna and her shadow must meet at the red cauldron to proceed to the next level. If unsure about having collected all the items needed to proceed to the next level, look at the red cauldron. If the red cauldron is green, bubbling, and glowing, you’re all good to go and proceed back to the cauldron.

Edna’s Shadow Enemies

So, you’re starting to get the hang of this whole shadow and Edna thing. The controls aren’t that scary anymore, and gathering those ingredients is a piece of Glaring Cheesecake. All of a sudden, a spooky little petpet starts to charge up to you. What the heck do you do now? You need not worry, dear player. Notice the space bar on your keyboard? If you press it, a zap will be casted! Both Edna and her shadow still have her magical witch abilities, and if an enemy is hit, not only do they get disintegrated, 10 points is awarded to your score! However, you cannot walk and zap at the same time. Be careful not to walk straight into an enemy! However, what happens if you do walk into an enemy? You’ll be quite happy to know that the concept of “lives” and “lives lost,” is not existent in this game! If Edna or her shadow is hit by an enemy, they will become frozen. Simply take the non-frozen character, walk over to them, and unfreeze them! You’re unable to collect items or proceed to the next level if one character is frozen. However, do take caution. If both Edna and her shadow are frozen, the game will end. This is the only way to lose the game.

Edna’s Shadow Scoring Guide

While there is no avatar to be earned from this game, a shiny new trophy for your user lookup is always fine and dandy! Each item gathered is worth 5 points. As mentioned above, each enemy zapped is worth 10 points. However, this game is timed in the sense of bonus points! Any remaining seconds on the timer will be translated into points, with a one second per one-point ratio. Speaking of points, the Neopoint payout is about .91 of a point per 1 Neopoint, with a score of about 910 points giving a payout of 1000 NP. This is a pretty decent deal, especially if gained to the maximum amount of times your score is submitted.

Edna’s Shadow Misc. Items

To be clear, there are no items that will have an intentional negative effect on your gameplay with Edna and her shadow. However, it’s good to keep in mind what each item does, and for what period of time!

  • Glowing Green Orb: This item freezes all critters for about 4 seconds. You’ll start seeing this item at level 3 and forward.
  • Potion: This item switches the controls for Edna and her shadow. As described above, the left arrow key and right arrow keys control the left and right directions for Edna, but the same keys control the right and left directions for her shadow. With this potion, for the rest of the level, the statement above is switched. The left arrow key and right arrow key control the right and left directions for Edna, respectively, and the left and right directions for her shadow.
  • Pocket Watch: This item is ESPECIALLY useful, because it can give you potential additional points! This item adds an extra ten seconds to your timer, and if you finish the game quickly, can result in those extra bonus points!

Edna Shadow Cheats

Lucky for you, dear player! We have a code for you. If you type, “edmoretime,” at some point during the game, you will receive an extra 25 seconds to your timer! Bonus points for everyone to enjoy! As a parting tip, we suggest you look out for the blocks that look a bit different than the rest! If you zap them, you might find an apple core or two, worth 5 points each, to help beef up your score. There’s 14 levels to Edna’s Shadow, and with each playthrough, the game mechanics will become more fluid with each go about.

Neopets Legends of Pinball

Neopets’ Legends of Pinball is a kind blast from the past, from a former era where everyone would crowd around that deaf, dumb and blind kid, who I heard could play a mean pinball. Song references aside, Legends of Pinball is a faithful representation of the game we all know and love, with of course, a hero of Neopia twist. Strap on in, and let’s blast into a fun journey of knowledge and strategy with the Legends of Pinball game.

Legends of Pinball

Legends of Pinball Basics

With your left and right arrow keys as your respectable traditional pinball flippers (the left and right CRTL keys if you have them can also work as the opposing pinball flippers), your aim is to accumulate as many points as you can. The down arrow key is used to launch the initial ball to start the game. To continue on with the pinball flippers, there will sometimes be more than the two pinball flippers on the bottom. For simplicity case, the pinball flippers located on the left will be controlled by the left arrow key, and pinball flippers located on the right will be controlled by the right arrow key. Five balls will be given at the beginning of a level, per level, and if you run out of those five balls? It’s game over for you, pal. Try to avoid that, however, no further points are gained for balls remaining, so don’t be too worried about ball loss. Play around with strategies, see what works best for you when it comes to point accumulation. Speaking of which, on to the point

Legends of Pinball Points

In order to proceed from level to level, one must hit a designated target on the top of the screen at least three times. It’s in your best interest, however, to get as many points as possible per the four levels given, to not only maximize your payout, but to also try to get a trophy! With an averaged ratio of about 2.15 points per 1 Neopoint, with a score of about 2150 earning you a profit of 1000 NP, it can be an easy game to get a hang of to bring home the big bucks. Practice makes perfect, after all!

Pinball Bumpers on the first two levels earn you five points per hit on the first two levels. However, when you move onto the last two levels, they’re only worth four points per hit. Try to stretch out your time wisely. An additional 60 points per hit of the top target will be awarded a maximum of three times before transitioning to the next level, with 100 points awarded for simply finishing a level. It’s very easy to finish this game, however, as mentioned earlier, it’s in your best interest to gain as many points per level as possible.

Level 1.1  Legends of Pinball

In order to progress to the next level of the game, you must hit the top three hangars at least once. Traveling through the tunnels will earn you ten points. The smaller side bumpers will earn you nine points per hit. As exhibited, there are three pinball flippers. The upper left one should be used to get the left hangar target, but should be avoided until the player wishes to progress to the next level. It’s seen as the easiest to control, target achieving wise.

Level 1.2

 3-2181722

In order to progress past this level, you must hit Gorix and/or Cylara at least three times. They are considered moving targets, since both of their characters will be walking around. Keeping this fact in mind, don’t worry so much about trying to hit them. Focus on accumulating points within the board, you’ll eventually end up hitting Gorix and/or Cylara regardless of intent. In the upper left hand corner, you may notice a dark circle lined in red. If your ball gets stuck in there, it’ll remain stuck for a few seconds, before being released. This will trigger one of your five balls to come out of the reserves, giving you the option to play with duel pinballs. While having two balls on the field can gain additional points, it’s important to not let them fall through the cracks, otherwise, you’ll have no pinballs at all. We can’t have that, now can we?

Level 2.1

 4-8696571

To progress to the next and final level, hit the target of the Draik Soldier with the pinball 3 times to wake him up from his slumber. This will result in him lowering the drawbridge to the final level! The black hole of sorts that we spoke of in the paragraph above is represented by the wishing well. However, notice the sleeping Turmy in the upper right hand corner? He’ll eat your ball if you hit him! You need not worry though, dear player. Simply click his head, and he’ll spit out your ball. He’s not cruel, after all.

Level 2.2

In order to end the game, you must hit Jeran, with his shield not protecting him, 3 times. The torches are magical, in the sense that they act like a buffer from balls falling into the drain. This is the easiest level, in many players’ opinion, to gain points. The manhole in the upper right is our black hole in this level. Do your best to gain as many points as you can, before you call it quits and start gunning for Jeran. However, please do keep in mind and remember, that once you hit Jeran a third time, it’s game over. Ensure that you get all the points you want before you start consciously try to hit Jeran as a target in this level.

Legends of Pinball Cheats

While there are no magical codes to give you additional points, or to reset the targets you hit, here are some parting tips before you go out on your pinball journey! The “P” key on your keyboard can pause the game, so you need not worry if you need a snack or have to use the bathroom. You’re taken care of! In addition, while in the real world, we make sure that ball flings out as quick and wild as possible, it’s best in this game you just give it enough power to just make it onto the board. It makes it a bit easier to control, and you’re not as likely to hit all of the targets that enable us to go to the next level. Lastly, keep your eye on the ball. This is not the game to get distracted on. It’s easy to grow careless as levels progress, but it’s simply not going to carry you far into victory. Always be aware of the targets you hit, and try not to get your ball into a sticky situation that results in the gutters.

As per always, good luck, dear player!

Neopets Clockwork Codebreaker

Neopets Clockwork Codebreaker is a fun nostalgic game with one of the most easy trophies to obtain. Far beneath the ground a city run by clockwork lays hidden. This Moltaran machine chugs on effortlessly day by day, but occasionally, the machinery needs some maintenance, which is where you come in! Just like its predecessor, Time Tunnel, You have twelve attempts to figure out the correct combination of runes in order to break the code, hence Clockwork Codebreaker. Doing so will earn you a thousand points, the maximum score, and with this you’ll automatically receive a spiffy new Clockwork Codebreaker trophy for your userlookup.

Clockwork Codebreaker

Clockwork Codebreaker Controls

Upon playing the game, your screen will look something like this:

Clockwork Codebreaker

The dial at the top left keeps track of the number of attempts left to break the code. You get 12 for every level. The four lights above the dials indicate the closeness of your guess to the solution.

Green – Correct rune, correct colour
Yellow – Correct rune, wrong place
Red – Wrong rune, wrong place

As the levels increase and each rune solution is longer, the number of lights above will increase to five, and then six. Unfortunately however, the position of the light does not match up with the position of the runes. Theres no way to know if that first green light is because the first one is correct, or the second, third or fourth. Just that one of them is correct.

In the centre of the screen are your dials and their runes in neat concentric circles. You can click each dial to move it left and right, thereby aligning your guess in the top centre segment beneath the lights. Once you’re satisfied with your guess, press the large red button in the middle of the screen to see how accurate.

Clockwork Codebreaker Gameplay

First Stage

In the first stage, you start off with four gears and a possibility of five different runes: White, Pink, Orange, Red and Blank (yes! Blank counts as a possible part of the rune sequence). The aim of the game is to align each colour rune in the correct place, it could be a random combination, or four of the same colour. For every rune you manage to place in the right place, you will score 30 points and theres a bonus at the end of this round for 100 points. If you’re bad at logic, the best method is to take notes as you’re going along, which colours you can eliminate and which to keep. Since theres no clock timing you, you can take as long as you need and this will not affect your points. This same method applies for all stages.

By the end of the first stage, you will have 220 points.

Second Stage

In the second stage, you now have seven possible rune colours to choose from, yet still only twelve guesses. The new set of colours are as follows: White, Purple, Pink, Yellow, Orange, Red and our old friend Blank. If you didn’t have a specific tactic in the first round, from here on in logic is your best friend. The best method, alongside writing them down, is to eliminate each colour in a system.

You click the red button straight away, and however many reds / yellows / greens for the blank set make a note of this before switching to the next colour along, White. For example if you received one green light for Blanks, you’d keep one rune blank in your guess, and the other five as White. Perhaps this one will give you two green lights and one yellow – you now know your final combination will contain one Blank and two Whites. Repeat this until you’ve a set of five lights all green and yellow indicating you’ve established all of the runes, just not necessarily their position. It will have taken up a maximum of 7 of your 12 attempts. If you’re smart, you’ll have changed the position of the runes you’re certain of as you go along and made notes. In this case, you may not even need the last 5 guesses, it might only take 1 or 2.

By the end of the second stage, you should have 520 points.

Third Stage

The third and final stage is by far the most difficult, but if you’ve made it this far its nothing you can’t handle! By now the combination you’re trying to guess is six runes long, out of a possible 9 coloured runes. The colours are as follows: White, Purple, Pink, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red and (you guessed it) Blank.

neopets Clockwork Codebreaker
Too many colours to keep track of!

You’re going to have to use the trial and error method of eliminating each colour as you go along, but be careful this time, guessing all nine different runes will use up almost all of your guesses. Once you reach the end, unless by stroke of luck you find the combination early, you’ll only have 3 more guesses remaining. This means that more than ever you need to make this round count. Don’t be afraid to constantly change the position of the runes you know are in the solution. Approach this particular level calmly and logically and it should be no more complicated than the previous levels.

By the end of the final stage, you will have earned 1000 points, the maximum score and guaranteed yourself a trophy. Congratulations!

Neopets Clockwork Codebreaker Cheats

  • The Neopets Community can be your best friend. After all you’re not timed, so theres no rush to finish the levels, especially not that last tricky level. Take a break, go ask a friend or your go-to forum for help, be that the Neopets boards, Reddit or TDN.
  • Write down notes as you go along, or take screenshots if thats more convenient. If you’re stuck on the final level just points away from the trophy, glancing back can be a saviour.
  • Contrary to popular belief, this game is not a random game. The codes generated are random, but how you apply the logic to Clockwork Codebreaker is not. It is easy to get the hang of it after a few trial runs.

Neopets League 97 (L97)

Neopets League 97 is an event that is creator by Neopets battledomers where it will only allow a specific build for players, so that they can start battles against various opponents, while they can be fair in terms of stats. Neopets League 97 does also allow longer battles, which was an idea incorporated to suit some of the most sought after needs.

neopets L97L97 Rules

There you will find a list that indicates what is allowed, and what isn’t. If you are looking to participate in the L97, you will have to follow them, otherwise you will not be able. If you have any questions about these rules, or for any other question, you are free to neomain Penguinqwert.

Rule #1: If you are looking to participate in the L97, your pet must have 97 HP, 20 STR, and 35 DEF, nothing else. You will have to do every thing in your power to reach exactly 97 HP, so that you don’t get an advantage over your opponent. Make sure that for the last remaining point, to not train at the Mystery Island Training School, simply because sometimes you will earn a bonus points, which gives your pet a +1, and can possibly get you over 97 HP. There is actually almost no way to lose HP, so make sure you don’t go over the limit. If you are looking to participate, your pet will also need a minimum of 80 HP, otherwise you will be disqualified from the battle. Put some effort on your pet before you enter the 97 League. However, there is an exception for pets with 98 HP will be accepted, considering their STR and DEF matches the requirements. If your pet has 98 HP, the 98th HP is considered as 0, so that if you fall at 1 HP, then you’re automatically considered the loser of the battle. If your pet has more than 98 HP, you will be not able to participate in the L97, unless you train up another pet.

Rule #2: You will not be allowed to use weapons that do more than 12.0 icons in offense, or in attack (ex: Super Attack Pea does more than 13 icons and therefore, it is not allowed).

Rule #3: You are not allowed to have a Dual Duty weapon that does more than 15.0 icons. You will also not be able to have 100% block Dual Duties.

Rule #4: The Dark Faerie Collar is not allowed during the L97 league because it does more than 15.0 (because of the reflection it provides).

Rule #5: Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield is not allowed because it was considered to be overpowered.

Rule #6: Stealing weapons, and freezer weapons are not allowed if, both of the players have agreed to the use of them. If one of the two players agrees, and the other doesn’t, then neither will be able to use a freezer, stealing weapon. However, if both of the players agree to the use of these weapons, then they are free to.

Rule #7: Weapons that can heal multiple times in a battle are not allowed, just like the Wand of the Dark Faerie, and the Illusen’s Staff as two examples. There are more multi-healers out there, though.

Rule #8: The Rainbow Scorchstone and the Glittery Scorchstone are not allowed during the L97 league.

Rule #9: You will not be able to use Thyoras Tear and Downsize in a battle. In other words, you are not allowed to equip both of these to your pet. Only one of them is allowed.

Rule #10: Faerie abilities of level 50 and more are not allowed.

Rule #11: Single Use items are not allowed. However, you are free to use fragile items if they don’t break one of the rules described before.

Rule #12: A participant will not be able to harm his opponent by using poison if they are not going to provide a cure for them. If one does poison his opponent during a L97 battle, then he must provide the cure at his own fees.

Rule #13: All players will not be allowed to use boons that are obtainable from the Battleground Oblisk War, which will give a slight advantage to the player who has them. Avoid at any cost.

Rule #14: You are only allowed to use the weapon that are yours. You will not be able to borrow weapons from other users, even if they are not participating in the L97 events. You will have to purchase weapons by your own efforts. However, you will be able to borrow L97 pets if you wish.

Rule #15: You will have to respect Neopets Terms and Conditions, so that you do not scam or cheat in the attention to win the battle.

Rule #16: If battlers enter in a dispute, then they must refer to the staff of the iDB tournament.

Rule #17: If you break any of the rule described before will lead you to a “forfeiture from a battle or set”, being disqualified or banned from the future L97 events that will take place.

Rule #18: Even though there are ability glitches, they can still be played simply because it is part of the life.

Neopets King Coltzan Society

Neopets King Coltzan Society is a group of people that is involved in the Higher League Battle. If one is apart of the King Coltzan Society, it does also mean that he has a higher league pet. Neopets King Coltzan Society defines a higher league pet as one who has 1000 Hit Points, 750 STR, and 750 DEF. Since STR at 750 points will inflict the most possible damage, and DEF at 750 points will defend the most possible icons, players can also choose to have more points for these two factors, which will not change the battle system.

King Coltzan Society

King Coltzan Society Information

Note that the King Coltzan Society is not a guild in any form, or even a clan. 1 Player and 2 Player events take part few times during a year. At this time, 2 player events are the only “modes” that will be hosted, because the Battledome is currently in Beta and has some changes to do. Once that happens, though, 1-player tournaments will be hosted within the time. Many rules will have to followed by those who wish to participate in the KCS events, and these detailed rules will be described later below. If any of these rules is not respected, a player will not be able to participate in the KCS events, so make sure you read them carefully.

The important factor that King Coltzan Society brings is that this association has brought a lot of help to make sure that veteran battlers are known, and that they will be visible to the future battledomers. If you’re looking to join the KCS, note that you will need some NP, since you will have to actually purchase a good BD set, that is powerful, and, at the same time, strategical. You will also have to use a trained pet with the stats described before, meaning 1000 HP/750 STR/750 DEF. Since the KCS pet stats requirements are high enough, it will be hard to join it and not many people will be able to. However, note that they are high so that battledomers can setup many strategies of theirs and make sure that the Battledome is ruled by the powerful, just like before.

You may be wondering if you should join the King Coltzan Society, or not. Of course, it is a reasonable question, but you will have to ask yourself whether the battling group is the good one for you. The King Coltzan Society is made certainly, mostly, for the people are looking for a strong battle, that can mix a combination of weapons to come with the best strategies that they’ve been thinking about, possibly for hours if not days. This association will also help you to increase your talent, so that you can even face the most powerful battledomers, and chose to fear or to be feared.

If you think that you qualify for the KCS, simply join. If you change your mind later, you will always have the opportunity to retract. It is up to you to decide whether you want to give it a try or not, but you should note that the KCS is absolutely not for beginners. You will need some experience there, or you will get crushed.

battledome-2207535King Coltzan Society Rules

The rules below are directly attached to the King Coltzan Society, and you will have to follow them if you’re looking to be apart of it. It is not hard though, just read this one time or two, and you will get familiar with them.

Rule #1: You will have to be Kind and Courteous. The reason behind that is because, when we think about it, the Battledome brings up the competitive side of the players who are willing to battle, and if players started to be disrespectful, then the fun will be gone. Make sure that you are always Kind and Courteous, and it is not too much asked.

Rule #2: You will have to be Honest. You will not be able to borrow pets from your friends or from other people, because they will not be your own efforts. You will have to train a pet by yourself to be proud in participating in the King Coltzan Society, and you will also not be able to borrow weapons from your friends. For the weapons, though, it is harder to spot those who will borrow weapons, and this is why you are asked to be honest. You will have to win by your own efforts, and by the NP you’ve had a hard time getting, not by the work of someone else.

Rule #3: You will have to follow the event rules, which means that a list of guidelines will be given when the King Coltzan Society is about to start, and you will have to respect them to assure a smooth functionality of the battles.

Rule #4: You will not be able to use certain weapons. Basically, all weapons are allowed, but not those that are described below. The reason behind this is that some were judged unfair, which can be because of their capacity to multi-heal and to take a great advantage in battles, or because no weapons were released to counter x weapon, which can be unfair. Would you like having to battle against someone with a knife, while your enemy has a Carabine X51? Surely not. Below is the list of the weapons that you will not be able to use during the KCS battling events.

  • Items that will alter your opponent are not permitted. That means all the noxious weapons that can give your opponent’s pet a disease, the Eraser of the Dark Faerie which can delete the petpet of your opponent, etc.
  • Wand of the Dark Faerie, and Illusen’s Staff are only allowed until they will start healing you. You will not be able to use the multi-healing ability that they will provide. When your HP is low enough to earn healing, you will not be able to use these during a battle, because it is unfair for your opponent. If you have to multi-heal by a mistake, then the battle will have to be re-made.
  • You are only limited to have one freezer during a battle. You will not be allowed to use multiple freezers.
  • You will only be able to use one of these particular items during a battle, not both: Thyoras Tear and Thick Smoke Bomb. These weapons will be able to do exactly the same thing. The Thyoras Tear can defend you against all icons, at 100%, during one turn and will disappear from your set until the end of the battle. However, since its price is in the millions of NP range, the Thick Smoke Bomb was added later to give a chance to the low-on-NP players for them to use, but it will disappear forever after the use and players will have to purchase multiple of them if they wish to use them.

Rule #5: You will be able to use all of the Faerie Abilities that you wish to use, but some of them are banned: Lens Flare, Throw Pillows, Tempest, Warlocks Rage and Rejuvenate. Also note that Level 500 abilities are also banned from the King Coltzan Society events.

Rule #6: Make sure that there is not ties to be made, and that if a battle results in a tie, the battle will have to be re-matched so that a victorious can be determined.

Freezers

On the new Battledome, that is currently in Beta, freezers do not work very well, but note that King Coltzan Society allows you to use a freezer in a battle if, and only if both players agree to the use of them. If both players have agreed to the use of freezers, they will be able to use them during battles. However, you will have to keep in mind that if a player has been frozen, his opponent will not be able to use weapons or abilities for that round. If one of the two players has not agreed to the use of freezers, then the other player will not be able to use them, which also means the restriction of the Sword of Lameness.

Freezers have known few changes since the Battledome has changed, and it is necessary to point them out for you to understand. In the old Battledome, players were able to freeze their opponent, and that opponent would not be able to use a weapon of their for the next round. For the new Battledome, whenever a player uses a freezing item, you will have to make the first move during the next round so that you can actually freeze your opponent. For example, Bob decides to use his freezer in round 1. Bob has to pick on of his weapons or abilities, then proceed to click the FIGHT button before his opponent. If that has been a success, then the opponent of Bob will be frozen during that specific round. If his opponent has had an opportunity to click the FIGHT button before Bob, then the freeze will not take place and it will be a failure from Bob’s part. Currently, you will not be able to use your freezer for another attempt if you fail at the first time. Whether you succeed or fail at freezing your opponent during a specific round, the freezer will vanish from your set until the end of the battle.

The battler that will be designed as the winner for x battle will get a total of 10 points. There is also a minimum number of points that is awarded, which is about if, for example, bracket #3 defeats bracket #7, then bracket #3 will get 3 points per battle, but bracket #7 will not be eligible for these points. That was concluded to be necessary to help balance the points between brackets.
