Gameplay – Neopets Neoquest II Strategy & Cheats

During Neopets Neoquest II, you will be controlling Rohane, which is a Blumaroo that comes from Meridell. To control him you will not have a lot of trouble, all you will have to do is to use the navigating pad that is located on the right side of the screen. You will find that there are many space where you will be able to move, and from there you will be able to choose which direction you would like to exactly move to before you proceed. Neopets Neoquest II is not like the first version of the game entitled Neopets Neoquest where you had many modes. On Neopets Neoquest II, you will have a total of two modes that you can choose to travel from. The first one is the normal mode. On that part, you will be able to see enemies that will be a treat to you, but numbered fairly.

The second mode is the Hunting mode where you will be able to find a lot of enemies that you will have to avoid. If you’re currently looking forward improving yourself, it is recommended that you use the Hunting Mode simply because it will be the hardest one and from there you will be able to become very effective after a successful amount of time put into training.

The two modes is not the only difference that can be perceived on Neopets Neoquest II and on Neopets Neoquest. Another difference is that on this game you will be use multiple characters, because there will be many enemies attacking you at a time thus you will need more help in order to finish them. You will be able to pick a total of three characters that you win use in the game that are different from Rohane, the Blumaroo which is the main one that will be always with you in the game.

The characters are respectively Mipsy, Talinia and Velm. The attacker that will be the most effective and that will always be with you is the Blumaroo, Rohane. He is a fighter and he likes battles, so every time there is something that require a fight, you will have to use him. Secondly, Talinia will be able to attack multiple enemies at a time but she is not as powerful as Rohane. After that, Mipsy will be able to give a little boost in speed to your allied members. She is a sorceress and this is pretty much what she can do. If there are enemies on her way, she should avoid them at any cost because she will only contribute to give a bonus to the team, not fight the enemies. She will also be able to slow the enemies. After that comes Velm where he will be a healer. This one is perfect when your party is seriously damaged and you’re looking for a heal.

Skills

During the game, you will see that there are skills available for you to use. You will have to pick the right one in order to successfully beat the game. Note that each character will have different skills and that each skill has a total of fifteen levels. Below is a list that will explain the skills you will be able to use through the game, and you should consider reading it if you’re trying to go after that pesky avatar.

Rohane Skills

The first skill that belongs to Rohane is the Critical Attacks. This skill is really important and required (this is something that you should always have). It will make sure that your enemy receive a lot of damage because a critical hit will be done to him. This deals much more damage than a normal hit and you will have to max it out before the game ends so that you can be very strong (max means having it to level 15).

The second skill is the Damage Increase. This one is fundamental and the skill that Rohane should have more than any other. This should be maxed out, all the way to level 15 because it will upgrade the damage done by Rohane and you will want to be as effective as you want.

There is also the Combat Focus where Rohane will be focusing on the battles he will be in. This one is not really important as it will only raise the defence of the Blumaroo. This is good if you’re going defensively but it is recommended that you don’t do so and therefore don’t spend a single point on it.

The Stunning Strikes is another skill that you must have because it will be able to stun your enemies for a designed amount of time and they will not be able to attack during that period of time. You will have to put 15 points, which means the maximum in this skill because it is very important.

Battle Taunt will make sure that the enemies goes all the way to Rohane in order to attack him, because he is the strongest one in the party, instead of going to attack the other ones. It is recommended that you don’t max this skill because it is not that important, but note that few points will be perfect.

The Innate Magic Resistance skill will make sure that you become resistant to the magic spells that come from your opponent. The magic spells vary, but for example they can be what slows you down or even damage you directly. By the end of the game, you should have few points on it. Prioritize the other skills first because you will actually need them more than this one, but go slowly when it comes to upgrade it.

Lastly, there is the Innate Melee Haste which will be able to increase your speed. This is a perfect skill as it will be able to let you move much more faster and to dodge your enemies more efficiently. For that reason, you will want to have it upgraded by points that are near the maximum, however do not max it as you will have to give priority to the more important skills first, that were described above.

Mipsy Skills

The first skill of Mipsy is the Direct Damage which will be able to deal a total of 100 damage to an opponent (one at a time) when you successfully make this skill to the maximum. You will have to max this one in order to be effective in the game. This one will be shooting a single enemy at a time. If you prefer group damaging that is the next skill that will be described, you will want to not max it, and to decide to max out the other skill.

The group direct damage skills will be able to deal a total of 64 damage to your enemies when it is at its maximum level. There will be a total of 4 opponents and if you manage to hit them all at once with this group direct damage, a total of 256 damage will be able to be done to all of them. This one will attack slowly compared to the direct damage, and therefore it is recommended that if you’re playing in Normal Mode than you should max this one instead of the direct damage skill.

The group haste will be able to give a boost in speed to your party and it will be a good one to almost max out because it will be able to avoid you the use of potions.

The slowing will be able to slow down the enemies that you will encounter but it is not that good of a skill. You better don’t invest points into this as the potions are way better and will be of a much greater help for you to play through the game.

The damage shields will make sure that if you are being physically attacked (note that it is only going to work if you are being physically hit), then your enemy will be able to see some damage dealt to him and it is not a recommended skill as it is not really good. Almost all of your opponents will be using magic, which is not physical damage and therefore you will not be able to use that skill very often. For that particular reason, it is recommended that you don’t invest points in it.

The Innate Melee Defense is when Mipsy doesn’t have many HP remaining and this skill will be able to defend her successfully. Since Mipsy can die pretty much quickly, it is recommended that you max out this skill as it will be of a great value in the later game.

The innate casting haste is the same skill as the one that was previously mentioned, but it will protect Rohane instead of Mipsy.

Talinia Skills

The increased bow damage is the first skill that can be given to Talinia. This one will be able to increase the damage done to your opponents. It is almost the same skill that belongs to Rohane. For that reason, since you will want to be a good fighter and to deal as many damage as you can, you will want to start maxing this out as soon as possible.

The shockwave skill is similar to the skill named stunning strike, that belongs to Rohane. However this one will be able to stun all of the encountered enemies and note that the bosses you will encounter, most of them will not be able to resist it. For that reason it should be maxed after successfully maxing the increased bow damage skill that was previously mentioned.

The ranged attacks skill will make sure that an enemy that has an intention of doing something will have himself delayed (slowed down) and this skill will be useful for the simple reason that Talinia will be very sought after by enemies and she will be the one that will be most of the time targeted first. Even if they miss, they will be targeted with the ranged attacks skill and for that reason you will want to invest a few points that you did not use on the Shockwave skill that was previously mentioned.

After that comes the slowing strikes that will be able to slow your enemies. However since the potions are better than this skill, you will want to not invest points in it at all.

The multiple targets skill is what comes next. This one will be able to target multiple enemies at once and is just like the skill of Mipsy. This will be able to deal a total of 100 damage to your enemy and for that reason you will want to max this out.

The innate magic resistance skill is the same one as the skill that is given to Rohane.

Lastly, the innate melee haste should not be maxed out because there are already similar skills where you have previously invested some of your points on.

Velm Skills

The first skill of Velm is the healing ability. This is not recommended to have and for that reason you will not want to invest points in it. The reason is that the next skill that will be mentioned will also be able to heal, but instead to do so to a practicular individual, it will heal the whole group.

The group healing is the skill that you will want to use. You will have to max this out as soon as you can because once this is done, you will be able to heal your group with a total of 90 HP per character, and this skill is so perfect that the potions will be no longer needed.

The celestial hammer is where you will be able to damage your enemies, and to also stun them. However, many of your opponents and of the bosses will become more and more resistant the more you will be progressing and for that reason you will not want to spend more than some points for the celestial hammer skill.

The mesmerization is a cool skill because it will be able to stun the enemies that will be targeted, and that all the way up to a total of 30 seconds. The 30 seconds can be bypassed if the enemy gets hit. For that reason, you will not want to spend a lot of points on it and you will prefer to spend them on the celestial hammer skill.

The group shielding will be helpful to you because it will be able to increase the melee defense of the party members of yours, along with their magic. This is perfect as you will be using this a lot when you will be fighting the last boss. For that reason, you will want to put a lot of points on it, however, it is not necessary that you max this out.

The innate melee haste should not be maxed out because there are already similar skills where you have previously invested some of your points on.

The Innate casting haste is a skill that was previously seen, so you will not want to max it.

Game Acts

In the game, there will be a total of five acts that will be separated in Meridell, Lost Desert, Faerieland, Terror Mountain and Haunted Woods. These will start getting more difficult the way you will progress and they will always have a boss on the end of them so that once you successfully defeat them, you will be able to proceed to the next act. The boss that will be found on Faerieland, that you will have to beat will be the absolute last boss of the whole game and if you manage to defeat him, you will be able to win the current game. There will be a video that will be cheering you whenever you complete the acts.

When you will battle the boss, it will depend of what skills you will have. It is recommended that you start the first turn to speed the party of yours if this is possible and at the same time to slow the final boss. The Hubrid Nox boss and Terask bosses are the hardest ones and you will want them to be slowed in order to have a slight advantage over them. After that you will be able to use Rohane’s melee attack and then to use the DD skill of Mipsy. Alternatively, you will be able to use the GDD skill of Mipsy if you have points invested in there. There will be also Talinia that you will have to use in order to use her melee. You will lastly have Velm heal the group when you are in need of more HP. If you use these tactics, you will win the game for sure, so just re-read it carefully and proceed to do it when you’ve reached the boss(es).

Prizes

you will also find that there are prizes that will be given to you. If you beat the game in the Normal Difficulty, you will be able to receive a total of 10 thousands NP and a bronze trophy. You will be also given a Rohanes Armour Polish, Mipsys Charm Bracelet, Talinias Whittling Knife or a Velms Healing Potion.

Completing the game in the Evil difficulty will give you a reward of a total of 30 thousands Neopoints, and a Halo of Devilpuss, a Scuzzys Comb, a Ramtors Spellbook or a Tooth of Terask.

Lastly, if you decide to beat the game in Insane difficulty, you will be given a golden trophy along with 50 thousands Neopoints and a Bow of Destiny, a Staff of Righteous Fury, a Sword of Apocalypse or a Wand of Reality.
