Neopets Extreme Herder 2

Neopets Extreme Herder 2 is a nice game that is the advanced version of Neopets Extreme Herder that is all about to control Samrin and bring the petpets to their pen before Balthazar grabs and eats them. Neopets Extreme Herder 2 will give you the chance to practice your speed skills and fast thinking because you will have to fool Balthazar in order to succeed at bringing the petpets back to safety. Gameplay

During the game of Neopets Extreme Herder 2, you will have to use the arrow keys that are located on your keyboard to bring the petpets back to their pen and to dodge Balthazar. During every level, you the number of petpets you will have to bring will increase, simply because the more you progress the harder the levels will become. You will have, as a main objective, to run to each spot of the screen to grab all of the petpets and to bring them back to safety. To grab them, simply use the arrow keys to go on them. You will also be able to use the space bar to release a petpet if you feel that another one needs help first, because Balthazar is chasing and is a treat to him.

Four “teleporters” will be found on the game. The first one is on the left side of the screen, the second one is on the right, third is on top and the last one is at the bottom of the screen. These will help you taking shortcuts when you are bringing petpets back to their pen. If, for example you are down the map and Balthazar is at the top, about to eat a petpet, simply hold the down arrow key and you will come from the top in no time. After that, you will be successfully able to take the petpet in danger and to release it in their pen the safest way. Balthazar will, however, not be able to use the tunnel, so you can use them for your own advantage.

Also, while you play, you will notice that there are some obstacles in your path to give you a harder time achieving the mission. They are there to bother you and you will have to counter them. The gates of the pen will not be always four, same thing for the teleporters. The more you progress, the less teleporters there will be until there is none. After that will come the time for the gates to disappear, because the game will get harder. Shortly after there will be a small guide giving you an idea about how many gates and teleporters can be found in each level of the game.

Levels

During the game, a total of 14 levels will be available for you to play on, but they are not necessarily easy. In fact, the first ones will contain a small amount of petpets, obstacles, teleporters, etc, but after the the game gets harder. Below is a small guide that will give you a better idea of Neopets Extreme Herder 2 because it will indicate how many gates, teleporters, petpets and obstacles can be found in X level.

Level 1: During that level, there will be a total of 4 gates, 4 teleporters, 4 petpets and 0 obstacles.

Level 2: During that level, there will be a total of 4 gates, 4 teleporters, 4 petpets to bring back to safety and 0 obstacles.

Level 3: During that level, there will be a total of 4 gates, 4 teleporters, 4 petpets to bring back to safety and 0 obstacles.

Level 4: During that level, there will be a total of 4 gates, 2 teleporters, 5 petpets to bring back to safety and 1 obstacles at the top left of the screen.

Level 5: During that level, there will be a total of 3 gates, 2 teleporters, 5 petpets to bring back to safety and one pond.

Level 6: During that level, there will be a total of 3 gates, 2 teleporters, 5 petpets to bring back to safety and one pond.

Level 7: During that level, there will be a total of 3 gates, 0 teleporters, 6 petpets to bring back to safety and one pond.

Level 8: During that level, there will be a total of 3 gates, 0 teleporters, 6 petpets to bring back to safety and one pond plus a rock on the right of the screen.

Level 9: During that level, there will be a total of 3 gates, 0 teleporters, 56petpets to bring back to safety and one pond along with a rock.

Level 10: During that level, there will be a total of 3 gates, 0 teleporters, 7 petpets to bring back to safety and one pond along with a rock.

Level 11: During that level, there will be a total of 2 gates, 0 teleporters, 7 petpets to bring back to safety and a pond along with a rock.

Level 12: During that level, there will be a total of 2 gates, 0 teleporters, 7 petpets to bring back to safety and a pond, plus a rock.

Level 13: During that level, there will be a total of 2 gates, 0 teleporters, 8 petpets to bring back to safety and another pond will be added on the bottom right along with a rock.

Level 14: During that level, there will be a total of 2 gates, 0 teleporters, 8 petpets to bring back to safety and two ponds will be found during the game, along with a rock.

Powerups

During the game, it will be too hard to simply run away of Balthazar, to grab the petpets and return them to the pound simply because the predator will not give you a chance. Fortunately, there are powerups that are available for you to use, to gain extra boosts in the game and advantages that will help you go to the winning spot of the high score table.

The first powerup is the orange gem, just like in Extreme Herder one where you had to take it to escape from the villain, Balthazar. There, if you take it, Samrin will also be able to run faster and this will greatly help you simply because he usually run “slowly”. Unlike Extreme Herder 1, there this power up will last for a shorter amount of time, but it is probably one of the best.

The second powerup is the blue gem, that will be temporarily freezing the predator, Balthazar, so that you will be able to be “free” for a while. When the effect of the gem is coming to its end, Balthazar will start moving slowly (because he was actually frozen) and this will indicate you that the effect is nearly done. That was also a power up from Extreme Herder 1, but this time it lasts a bit longer.

The third power is the X2 symbol that will allow you, as Samrin to carry up to two petpets at once that will help you bring them faster to the pen, or to save them from Balthazar. This will give you enough time to carry twice 2 petpets and to bring them successfully to the pen. If you feel that some petpets are in danger, then this is the perfect power up simply because you will be able to free two petpets at a time instead of one. Fortunately, if you have two petpets grabbed that are on Samrin and this powerup runs off, you will be able to keep the two petpets on him. However, if you drop them by using the space bar or when you successfully bring them back, you will not be able to carry two again until to re-grab this powerup.

Lastly, the Red Apple is the fourth and last powerup available to you that will gather all of the petpets on the screen to one place. You will be able, by using the space bar, to gather and you will notice that all the petpets comes there. This is a very rare power up, though, and it is extremely helpful because all of the petpets can come to a safe spot of the game.

Neopets Extreme Herder 2 Strategy and Cheats

It is recommended that you setup your own strategy depending of the emplacement of the petpets you will see, but we have few propositions for you to help you feel more confident when you decide to play the game.

Try to run in the diagonal way without letting yourself come in contact with an obstacle, because since this is a 3D game, the Kacheek, Samrin will be able to run on a lower distance. To do that, all you have to do is to press two arrow keys that are adjacent, and it will be easily done.

Another thing you should consider is to watch Balthazar because unlike Extreme Herder 1 when he always appeared from the top left corner, this time he will pop up through a different location and you will have to be ready. So always be careful and never think that he is coming from the top left side of the screen.

Always watch the petpets that are near Balthazar and they are the priority, because you do not want Balthazar to eat them.

If you see Balthazar near a petpet, and you know that you will not be able to grab it before him simply because, lets say, you are on the back of Balthazar, run and get eaten instead of him. The reason behind that is that you do not want to lose points. However, if you lose a life, you will still be able to receive points from the petpet. If Balthazar ate it, you will no longer be able to take points for it.

You will be awarded with five points for every petpet you successfully bring to safety. A maximum score of 700 points can be obtained if you master the game by completing all of the 14 levels of the game. If you’re going after a super high score or after a trophy, it is recommended that you try to do so at the beginning of the month simply because many people will be looking forward the score of 700 points (even if it is not that easy to achieve it).
